We are a small home based kennel located on an acreage outside Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

My introduction into purebred dogs goes back to 1977 when I bought my first GSD. It wasn't until 1990 that I bought my first Golden Retriever as a gift for my Husband Ken.  Ch Mygoldens Just a Darn Minute - “Lady”, is the reason we are still breeding Goldens today.  This little girl taught us a lot about this amazing breed, and was everything a companion should be and more.

We have bred many Canadian, American, Thailand CH’s as well as BIS and BPIS winners, also several other dogs that have working, hunting, and the first golden in the history of the breed in Canada to achieve a DDX title, and numerous dogs with obedience and agility  titles.

Although I enjoy all venues of training, I have to admit confirmation is my passion. The dogs and the wonderful people I have met over the many years is what keeps me in this wonderful breed.

Here at Hollykins we believe that Temperament, health and soundness of mind are first and foremost ( although pretty is a nice bonus).

We only breed dogs that have been cleared for hereditary problems. We raise our puppies in the house where they get proper socialization and daily one on one. We only keep a select few dogs with us (others with families) as it is a huge commitment of time and we want to be sure that all the dogs get the individual time they need to develop and grow properly.
