| Since Japan has a humid climate special attention was given to keeping the powder dry. Containers of various shapes and sizes were produced in large quantities to fit the need of the shooters. Almost all were carried around the waist by the gunner. | The quick loading tube was conceived then produced with the idea to speed up the process of loading the matchlock as quickly as possible in combat conditions. These tubes were also produced in a wide variety of material such as bamboo wood layers of paper and animal hides. the nickname of the quick loading tube is "HAYAGO" There were basically two types open and closed. |
