If you are trading-in your used car, you must ascertain to whom/which company
your used car is being trade-in. Should it be the company from whom you are
purchasing your new car, you ought to ensure that this is clearly indicated
in the sale contract. Unless so stated, the traded-in transaction is a private
transaction between you and person/company/agent buying your used car. In
this case, this transaction does not involve the company from whom you are
purchasing your new car.
Scrap Car (PARF) Certificate/COE Rebate Certificate
If you have purchased any of the above, ensure that the certificates are submitted
to the company prior to registration of your new car. Details of rebates/deductions
arising from these certificates ought to be in the official invoice. Unless
such transactions are clearly stated in the sales contract, they remain as
private transactions between you and the person/agent purchasing such certificates
for you.
