This 1972 Westy is in very, very nice condition inside, and decent condition outside. It is in original condition. It has not been driven for the past 12 years. Fortunately, the first 8 of 12 years, it was stored outside on a concrete slab. The outside received a bunch of surface rust spotting, but the undercarriage was protected from the moist ground by the concrete slab. I would like to find a good home for this VW, and I have set a price of $3,350. Of course, this is a >>best offer<< situation, so this may not be sold to the first person with $3,350 in hand. The 1972 has the original PDSIT 32/34 dual carbs [rebuilt] and OIL BATH air cleaner!! If you know what that means, then you will appreciate this VW. When the compression was last checked, it was 145 - 150 psi in all four. No low compression !! This is a perfect time to examine the complete VW, and poke around the super clean engine. If you are interested in working on this VW, it is a perfect candidate for a WINTER PROJECT. It has just been brought to mechanical completion in July 2005, so it still needs a shakedown period. Good - brakes, tires, trans, engine. Interior and original birch headliner. Glass all good. New battery tray & battery. Rebuilt carbs. New exhaust valves!!
