Start of a new Challenge
I was finally able to start the prosperity challenge and I thought I would share a bit about the town and its inhabitants with everyone.

Welcome to Hangman’s Gulch! This beautiful dessert community was once home to some of the most influential families, Simville had ever known. Unfortunately, with the closing of the Hangman Diamond Mine, most of the residents had to move in order to find new employment; however, four families remained. The Cobra family, Westmores, Groves and Silvers decided to stay in Hangman’s Gulch, with the hope of rebuilding it into the thriving metropolis it once was, but will their efforts pay off or will each drive their families into the ground?

The Cobra Family
For 25 years, Liam Cobra dedicated his life to the Hangman Diamond Mine; he is a self-proclaimed bachelor, whose heart belonged to his job. With the closing of the mine, Liam has been forced to find a new job, to pay the bills. His new employment has brought new friends into his life (beautiful, young women friends) and he is beginning to regret his decision to never have a family. Liam wonders if he is too old to start a family and will he be able to succeed in a new career?

The Westmore Family
Slone married his college sweetheart, Ashleigh, many years ago and they were blessed with a wonderful son, Justice. They had the perfect life; until, Slone’s parents fell deathly ill and he had to return home to Hangman’s Gulch. Now, following the death of he parents, Ashleigh, Justice and he have moved into his parent’s homestead. Hunter, Slone’s younger brother, has returned demanding his share of his inheritance and refusing to leave until he gets it. Slone is now forced to support not only his wife and teenage son, but also his greedy, immature brother. Will Slone be able to handle the pressure of his new role in life and could Hunter possibly find his true love in Hangman’s Gulch?

The Grove Family
Savannah has lived her entire life in Hangman’s Gulch. She married her childhood sweetheart at the tender ate of sixteen and immediately jumped into the role of wife and mother. Savannah and her husband, Joseph, had five children and spent forty glorious, love-filled years together; until, Joseph was tragically killed in a mining accident. As Savannah was trying desperately to cope with the loss of her husband and best friend, her youngest daughter, Lily and Lily’s son, Aiden, showed up on her doorstep. Her flighty, dream-seeking daughter needed someone to look after Aiden, while she pursued an acting career in Sim City. Savannah couldn’t say no; she knew her home was the best place for her young grandson to be, but she wonders how she will ever be able to support her grandson on a fixed income.

The Silver Family
Warren married the woman of his dreams twenty years ago, but now all of his dreams have crashed and burned. With the closing of the mine, Warren found himself unemployed and depressed. Unfortunately, Warren’s lovely wife Amy had grown accustomed to living in the lap of luxury and took the news of Warren’s employment status extremely hard. She refused to sacrifice any of the material possessions she loved, for the welfare of her family; instead, she left. She took their savings and valuables and ran to find a new man to care for her.
Luckily for Warren, his mother Rose came to his rescue. She agreed to lend him some money; in order, to rebuild the family home. Rose also agreed to stay with Warren and help him raise his three children. Bryce and Hailey are both teenagers and have taken the disappearance of their mother very hard. Each blamed their father for not keeping her happy so she would remain in the house. Reagan, Warren’s youngest daughter, has just entered toddlerhood and doesn’t realize the turmoil that is going on around her. All she wants to do is play with her toys and learn to walk. Will this family be able to push past their pain and anger, in order to survive? or Will they fall apart at the seams?

I have made it through one full rotation of play with each family and started the second rotation (finished the Cobra and Westmore families this afternoon). So far, there isn't too much drama to report, but interesting things are sure to happen soon. I must say that I am really enjoying this challenge and like the fact that I can rotate between families.

I also wanted to quickly say that the two homes I posted pictures of have now been published to TSR, so go and download them...LOL! Well, that is about it for now...I am working on another submission to TSR and should have it up within the next few days, otherwise, happy simming!
