STEVE & NANCY

NOW PLAYING POWER OF LOVE

Hi,my name is Nancy Garrison and I am married to Steve.

We have 2 married daughters, Shannon and Shelli, and 2 sons, Shane, is also married and he and his wife, Laura, love riding four-wheelers. Quentin is 11 years old and an avid sports fanatic (his baseball team went to State Competition this past summer!!). We have a precious little grandson named Lane.
Steve raises show pigeons and I collect napkin rings. Our daughters are both into home decorating and cooking, while our younger son is a sports fanatic.

I was looking through a Taste of Home magazine back in 1998 and the collector's corner caught my eye. It featured a lady from the state of Washington who collected napkin rings. I have never had an actual collection of anything before, and the idea of some type of collection sounded interesting to me. But, I did not want to collect the same things other people collect, like stamps, spoons, coins, etc. I wanted my collection to be unique. I decided I would also collect napkin rings. Little did I know then exactly how unusual a collection that is!

I have been collecting since 1998 and have only found one other person with the same collection and that is the lady featured in the magazine.

I gathered around 100 different rings over about a 3 year period, then I ran across that magazine again. I decided to try and contact the lady in the magazine. After much research, I was able to find Louise. She lives in Shoreline, WA and she was still actively collecting napkin rings.

To make a long story short, Louise and I have become "partners in crime" with our napkin ring collections! Her collection numbers over 5,000 and mine now stands at 1,500. We swap back and forth often, as well as keep in touch via e-mail. We both like the unique or odd ring, but collect any type. We both have some sets, if each one in the set varies some. Usually, we only get one of each, not sets.

Napkin rings come in so many different sizes, shapes and colors it is unbelievable! They are small, inexpensive and great conversation pieces.

If you are interested in joining our Napkin Ring Collectors Club (of 2!), please contact me.

Also, if you have rings to sell, please contact me. Looking forward to hearing from you!!
