Dr. Gabriel Maliha
Dean of the School of Pharmacy
Dr. Gabriel Maliha was appointed Acting Dean of the School
of Pharmacy at LAU starting October 1, 1999. He was appointed Dean of the
School of Pharmacy starting October 1, 2000. Prior to that he served at LAU
in the capacity of an Associate Professor of Pharmacotherapeutics since October,
1996.
Dr. Maliha received his B.S. Degree from the American University
of Beirut in 1976. He received his M.D. and Ph.D. Degrees from Northwestern
University in 1982 and 1990 respectively. He is American Board certified
in Internal Medicine and Nephrology. He joined the faculty of New York University,
school of Medicine in 1994 where he remained until 1996. He served as Medical
Director of Research Division at Upjohn Pharmaceuticals from 1990 to 1992.
Dr. Maliha has 31 papers published in recognized and reputable
international journals in addition to various other contributions in chairing
scientific meetings and conferences.
