* 4-24-02: DUKE WOMEN SIGN JESSICA FOLEY

Duke University women's basketball head coach Gail Goestenkors announced on Tuesday the signing of Jessica Foley to attend Duke University and play basketball in 2002-03.

This past summer, Foley played on the AIS team which defeated the Blue Devils twice on Duke's 14-day Australia tour. Foley averaged 21.5 points and 3.5 steals in two games against the Blue Devils. She recorded a game-high 29 points on 10-of-11 field goals and 5-of-5 three-pointers in the first game and scored 14 points on three 3-pointers in the second contest. Foley hit 8-of-10 three-pointers in the two games against the Blue Devils.

* 4-23-02: WHO WILL/WON'T BE ABLE TO FILL EARLY DEPARTURES

ESPN has an article up on who will and who won't be able to fill the spots left by early departures. They say Duke and Illinois will be able to fill th holes, but people like Indiana will have big problems.

* 4-23-02: ESPN ON YAO MING

ESPN has an article up on how Yao Ming will be in the draft (obviously he is the leading candidate for the #1 pick). A pretty good read.

* 4-22-02: WILCOX TO THE NBA

Chris Wilcox has decided to forego his last two years at Maryland and jump to the NBA early. It is really no suprise to those who have been watching the situation closely, especially after the links that DBR posted earlier today, but his potential looks great. He has also been told that he will be a lottery pick, so keep an eye on him, and we wish him the best of luck. This will, however put Maryland in trouble immediately, as they will lose 4 of their starting five. Here is the link from ACC Today, and this from CNNSI. More later.
