- Web Page Development
- An introduction to Web page development techniques. Topics in this course
include HTML, scripting languages and commercial software packages used in
the development of Web pages. Upon completion, the student will be able to
demonstrate knowledge of the topics through the completion of Web page development
projects and appropriate tests.
Class Policies
- Midterm and final = 100 points each
- Assignments, research, quizzes, communications and attendance = 200
- Quizzes: Points will be accumulated through performance on unannounced
online quizzes. These quizzes may be administered at any time, and serve
to reward both attendance and advanced preparation for class. There are
no make-ups for these daily/weekly quizzes. These quizzes are designed to
emphasize the important points covered in the material.
- Communications: The class will utilize all forms of communications available
on WebCT. Email, Discussions and Chats. These communications will constitute
attendance. Discussions will be posted that emphasizes the major topics we are
learning; all students will be expected to participate. Chats will be set at
times convenient for most students; they are not required but encouraged.
- Attendance: Attendance is expected. Each student should be punctual and
regular in class attendance. Please see Snead State's College Catalog for
the attendance and withdrawal policy. WebCT provides login information to
the instructor. Attendance is verified through logins, chats, emails,
discussions, etc.
- Final grades will be assigned based on the following scale:
- 90 - 100% = A
- 80 - 89% = B
- 70 - 79% = C
- 60 - 69% = D
- 0 - 59% = F
