THE ROMAN'S ROAD

The ROMAN'S ROAD is a pathway. It can take you to the heart of Jesus for salvation. These verses from the book of Romans in the New Testament will show you your need, and help you to understand how to be saved.

Romans 3:23

"For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God."

We all have sin in our hearts. We all were born with sin. We were born under the power of sin's control. You need to admit that you are a sinner.

Romans 6:23a

"For the wages of sin is death..."

The consequences of our sin is death. We all face physical death, but a worse death is spiritual death that alienates us from God, and will last for all eternity. The Bible plainly teaches us of a place called the Lake of Fire where those who do not have a personal relationship with Jesus will be in torment forever. You must understand that you deserve death for your sin.

Romans 6:23b

"...But the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

Salvation is a free gift from God to us! We can't earn this gift, but we must reach out and receive it. You must take His free gift of eternal life and ask God to forgive you and save you.

Romans 5:8

"God demonstrates His own love for us, in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us!"

When Jesus died on the cross He paid our penalty. He who had no sin paid the ultimate price for our sin. When He died on the cross, He bought us out of the slavery of sin and death and gave us eternal life. He did all this because He loves us and gave Himself for us! Admit that He loves you and died in your place for you

Romans 10:13

"For whoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved!"

Call out to God in the name of Jesus and ask Him to forgive you and save you!

Romans 10:9,10

"...That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shall be saved; for with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."

He tells us that if we believe and confess Jesus we WILL be saved!

Jesus said in Revelation 3:20a , "Behold I stand at the door and knock, if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him..."

Is Jesus knocking on your heart's door? Believe in Him. Ask Him to come in to your heart by faith, and ask Him to reveal Himself to you. Open the Bible to the gospel of John and read what God says about Jesus, about you, and about being born again. God will help you. He loves you. If you have followed this path down the Roman's Road, and have confessed your need and your sin, and accepted God's free gift of salvation, the Bible tells you that you are born again. (See John chapter 3) Your body has become God's temple. Your heart is where He lives. Forgiveness is yours in Jesus. And you belong to Him. You were sin's slave. But now...You are a child of GOD! John 1:12 "As many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name!"

If you wish to pray and ask Him to save you and you dont know what to say, Here is one you can repeat. But mere words are not enough. He wants your heart. So please trust Him and he will guide you.

Dear God, I confess that I am a sinner. Lord Jesus, I believe that you are the son of God and that you died on the cross for my sins. Right now, Lord Jesus, I am placing my total trust in you. Lord, come into my heart, forgive me of my sins, and save me. From this day forward, I will live for you. Thank you for saving me. In Jesus' name. Amen.
