The Creation
Hymn
I. The creation hymn
A. Rev 4:11
"Thou art worthy, O Lord, to
receive glory and honor
and power: for thou hast created all
things, and
for thy pleasure they are and were
created"
B. Many of the Psalms were written to
praise God for
his work in creation
1. Ps 8:3
"When I consider thy heavens,
the work of thy
fingers, the moon and the stars,
which thou
hast ordained"
2. Ps 19:1-4
"The heavens declare the glory
of the God; and
the firmament sheweth his
handiwork. Day unto
day uttereth speech, and night
unto night
sheweth knowledge. There is no
speech nor
language, where their voice is not
heard. Their
line is gone out through all the
earth, and
their words to the end of the world. In them he
set a tabernacle for the sun"
3. Ps 100:3
"Know ye that the Lord he is
God: it is he that
hath made us, not we ourselves; we
are his
people, and the sheep of his
pasture"
4. Ps 104:1,5
"Bless the Lord, O my soul. O
Lord my God, thou
art very great; thou art clothed
with honor and
majesty. Who laid the foundations
of the earth,
that it should not be removed
forever"
