What is particularly curious about this marriage is that both Alice and her sister Louisa married a Poole. Both Pooles were certainly not brothers and it may be that they were not cousins either, meaning that the surname could be pure co-incidence.
After the marriage they went to live at 41 Stirchley St, Stirchley, Worcestershire which is now a Birmingham suburb. Stirchley Street was later re-named Pershore Road and it is possible that the house still stands to this day. It is probably in the 1500 to 1620 number range between Mary Vale Road and the junction of Fordhouse Lane.
They were joined at this address for a short while by her sister Louisa and her husband Charles where their first child was born in the latter quarter of 1893.
On the 1901 census Thomas is shown as working as a coal merchant/agent.
