But before long!
I became aware that I belong to a whole range of
other surnames as well. These include Wakelin,
Sheffield, Allen, Smith, Marks, Henley, Mayo, Procter,
Homer and the list just goes on and on. And that
is just from my fathers side of the familyFor the
most part my ancestry is rooted firmly in Warwickshire,
Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire.
This begins to change towards the latter part of
the 19th century. Co-inciding with the railway infrastructure
largely in place around this time, by 1881 there are ancestors living
in many different parts of the country.
Navigating this site is quite simple. On the left
of this page there are links to a series of main
pages. There you will find links
to ancestors and descendants, and on these pages links
appear in red by names where there is further information. Links are also provided to the ancestry pages by clicking on any of the surnames listed below. All of these pages are interlinked.
