~*~*~*~ Chapter 3~*~*~*~

Knock, knock. The loud tapping against the door woke the guys up. It was Claudia telling them that it was time for them to get up and to start getting ready. Dream Street was supposed to do a small performance and an in store signing at Sam Goody. Chris rolled out of bed and turned on the light in the bathroom. He was lucky he was the first to use the bathroom. Usually, Matt was the first one in there. My hair is such a mess, he thought to himself. He wanted to make sure his hair was perfect because there were going to be so many screaming fans. He paused for a moment to remember the dream he had the night before, but it didn't come to him.
"It's so early! I can't believe you're making me wake up so early!" Kylie complained. She was so tired; she didn't get a whole lot of sleep the night before.

"Come on, we're gonna go around Pine Valley. It's all part of the road trip." McKenzie urged.

"Alright, fine. But I need to get some CD's. We need something to listen to in the car, you know. I think I saw a Sam Goody somewhere."

"Yeah, I remember that. We'll stop by." Kori said as she decided what to wear. The four girls got dressed, checked out of the hotel and got into the car. They drove around until they found Sam Goody and just their luck, Starbucks was right next to it.

"Whooooooooooooo! Starbucks!" Becca jumped out of the car and did a little dance. They all laughed at her, because Becca was in love with Starbucks. They all went in, ordered their coffee and walked down the quiet street to Sam Goody. When they got to Sam Goody, Kylie noticed a big sign that said "DREAM STREET IN STORE SIGNING TODAY AT 12PM!"

"Who is Dream Street?!" Kylie was so confused.

"I have no idea, but maybe we should go meet them anyway. I mean hey, at least we'll meet someone famous." Kori opened the door and they all walked in.

A small stage had been set up and a long table with five chairs were already there. Few customers were looking aruond, but a bunch of teenage girls were crowded around the stage.

". . . You know that, I know that, I can't stop watching you, I feel it believe me, I know you feel it too ... " the song was playing in the store.

"Ughhh! It's this song again!" Kylie covered her ears and walked over to one of the workers. "Excuse me," she tapped the young guy with blonde hair on the shoulder.

"Do you know who sings this song?"

"Uh ... it's Dream Street." he laughed and got back to work.

"Well, at least I'll finally get to see what these guys look like.Their voices are so high!" Kylie spoke quietly to herself.

More screaming teenybopper fans ran through the doors and joined the other crowd of girls, so Kylie, McKenzie, Kori and Becca took their place in front of the stage; they were pretty close too.
"Come on, Chris. We have to go on stage soon." Jesse told him.

Chris was slumped in his chair thinking about what happened the night before. I gotta find her and ask her out, he thought. He smiled to himself when he remembered her smiling at him.

"Chris!!" Claudia yelled.

"Okay, okay, I'm coming." Chris got out of his chair and joined the other guys for a quick practice before the show started.
"DREAM STREET!! DREAM STREET!! DREAM STREET!!" all the girls chanted.

"This better be good." Becca muttered under breath.

An older, middle- aged man came on stage to introduce Dream Street as the hot, new boy band from New York. Then five figures appeared on stage. Their backs were faced towards the screaming girls. The first song they were going to start out with was "They Don't Understand."

"It's about time they started." McKenzie said.

They don't look all that bad ... from the back that is ... especially the tanned guy with the spikes in the middle, Kylie thought to herself ;she smiled. Her mind wandered a little and she soon forgot about Chris. The music started and the guys jumped and turned to face the audience. All the girls screamed their hearts out as the spiky haired boy started out the song.

" . . . They say we're just playing games . . . " Chris sang.

Kylie decided to have some fun and pretended that she was a crazy fan, then she got a closer look at the guy.

"Oh my gosh!" she gasped. "That's Chris!"
