A Slayer's Angel

There was a fury that came over Buffy. As the fury boiled, she began to think about Willow’s strange behavior back in their room. She thought a lot about it and finally came to the conclusion that Willow and Oz both knew that Spike had returned. The fury boiled over as she made her way back to the dormroom.

Buffy burst through the door which made Willow and Oz both jump up off the bed in total shock. When they realized that Buffy was angry they instantly knew why. Or did they? Willow tried to talk first but there was no way that Buffy was going to let that happen. Buffy quickly and angrily spoke out, “How could you not tell me Will? You are supposed to be my best friend. We aren’t supposed to keep things as important as this from each other. Why?”

Willow walked over to Buffy and tried to explain, but Buffy wasn’t having it. She walked passed Willow over to her bed and sat down. She bowed her head in disgust. When Willow saw this, she said, “Gees, Buffy, I’m sorry! But, I swore to Oz that I wouldn’t tell you. That’s the way that he wanted it.”

Buffy was now shocked at Willow and Oz. She looked at the two of them and said, “I can’t believe you two. You actually talked to him!? You gave that creep your word. He’s a killer. He would kill me in a second if he had the chance Will.”

Willow was shocked at what Buffy was saying. How could she talk about Angel this way. Angel loves her. “Why are you overreacting like this Buffy,” Willow asked?

Buffy was stunned at what Willow was saying now. She jumped up from the bed and frustratingly said, “You think I’m over-reacting. Spike’s tried to kill me many times and you think I’m over reacting. How could you…”.

Before Buffy could finish her statement, Oz blurted out, “Spike?! Wait, you found out that Spike’s back?”

Buffy turned to Oz and responded, “Yes, I found out that Spike’s back. And Don’t try to deny it. I know that you two knew.”

Oz looked at Willow and shrugged his shoulders. They both realized that Buffy had no idea that Angel had returned. All she knew was that Spike was back. So they went along with the story.

“Buffy,” Willow began. “I swear to you. He made us lie to you. He threatened Oz. He told Oz that he would kill me if Oz told anyone. Honestly Buffy, I would’ve told you, if, if, I could.”

Buffy was now overwhelmed. She bought into Willow’s story. “I can’t believe I overreacted like that. I should’ve trusted you. But whenever Spike’s around, I lose my mind.”

“Don’t be too hard on yourself Buffy,” Willow responded. “I think we better get some rest. We should go see Giles tomorrow, and um, let him know that Spike’s back.”

“Good Idea Will,” Buffy says in agreement. “But, I think I will patrol for a little while. I need to think a bit.”

Buffy walks out to of the room in order to go patrol. Oz and Willow lay back down in bed. Willow whispers to Oz, “Do you realize that Spike and Angel are back. Are you sure that Angel is really Angel?”

“He seemed to be Angel,” Oz replied. “He was very sincere.”

Willow, in her quiet demeanor, then said, as she slowly slipped into slumber, “Tomorrow’s gonna be a wild day.”
