Rules and Regulations
Established by the Senior Patrol Council

Minor Infractions

• Late for Troop event
• Failure to follow established troop procedures
• Eating gum and food at inappropriate times
• Violation of troop uniform code
• Bringing unrelated items to scouting events
• Leaving event without permission
• Failure to complete assignments
• Electronic devices at scouting events

Disciplinary Options

• Verbal warning
• After meeting conference with SPC
• Parent contact
• Scout/Leader conference
• Meeting suspension

Major Infractions

• Excessive (more than 3) violations of minor infraction(s)
• Rowdy behavior at meetings, this includes but is not limited to: fighting, excessive profanity, inappropriate remarks, etc.
• Disrespect to other scout(s) or leader(s)
• Verbal aggression toward other people
• Disruptive behavior which interferes with skill instruction
• Lying or cheating
• Spitting or throwing things at other people
• Any religious, ethnical, or racial remarks or gestures towards others
• Constant pushing or wrestling, etc. with other scouts
• Failure to complete patrol assignment
• Going into any unauthorized area at any time

Disciplinary Options

• Removal from meeting
• Parent contact
• Parent/Scoutmaster/Jr. Leader conference
• Meeting suspension
• Restraint from other scouts
• Expulsion

Critical Infractions

• Theft
• Threatening others
• Deliberate destruction of someone’s property
• Inappropriate drawings or writings at events
• Striking Leaders
• Using excessive language toward leader
• Striking scouts
• Using excessive language toward scout
• Possession of any illegal products, this includes, but is not limited to: alcohol, cigarette(s), tobacco products, fireworks, drugs, etc.
• Leaving without permission or notification to leader or Senior Scout
• Verbal aggression toward others
• Misuse of knife (especially toward another person)
• Failure to complete objective given
• Misuse of authority
• Destruction of troop property
• Damaging troop property
• Loss of troop property
• Loss of scout patrol property
• Excessive violation(s) of Major or Minor infraction(s) (3-5 violations, depending on how crucial)

Disciplinary Options

• Removal from meeting
• Parent contact
• Removal of troop position
• Parent/Scoutmaster/Jr. Leader conference
• Meeting suspension
• Temporary probation of position
• Expulsion
