You are the single most important factor that will determine how successful your son will be in Scouting! Scouts whose parents get actively involved will be able to help there children advance and learn much more than those that do not.
Being an involved parent takes time and effort, but it's also rewarding and fun. One of the reasons our troop is so succesful is because of the dedication of so many of our parents. There is something to do that matches the talents of everyone, and your involvement is vital to your son as well as to our other Scouts. Current BSA policy requires all adults who have contact with the Scouts to register with the BSA. It is troop policy that we will not register any new Scout until one or both his parents have registered. |

It takes the active involvement of every family to make our active troop successful. And there is a job to suit your special talents and your available time. Our troop requires parent involvement as a condition of membership. It's challenging, it's fun, and your son will reap the rewards. In order to help track your involvement we have assigned activity credit "points" to each job to help guide you. We estimate that it takes an average of at least 100 activity credits of adult involvement each year from every family to maintain a quality program for our Scouts.
