What Is This Tutorial About?

When I was looking for a hobby car in 1998, I originally wanted a 1967 GTO such as I had in college, however after looking around for shops to repair the vehicle and sources of repair parts, I decided instead on a 1965 Ford Mustang. I believed I would have more chance to find Mustang parts and repair than GTO parts and repair.

The Mustang I found is totally modified. It started prior to my ownership with replacement of the Inline 6 with a 289 V-8 and progressed to the transmission, suspension, brakes, air conditioner system, etc. etc.

As a result of that exercise and other unrelated events, I learned a great deal about the Internet, General and Special Purpose Search Engines, Finding Parts, Wrecking Yards, Swap Meets and Aftermarket Parts Sources. I can find just about anything I need using General Purpose and Special Search Engines and keywords to drive the search.

It is the goal of this tutorial to share with members of the car community a systematic strategy for using general and special purpose search engines to find repair parts.

I believe this strategy can make your parts search much easier.
