Season 2 Archive
THE MULE CUP CHAMPION, DETROIT RED WINGS!!!!
GM, Galen Murray – “What a season for the
Wings. Coming into the season, we hoped
to improve on the season 1 exit in the Conference Semis. Well we definitely improved on that by
beating the Flyers 4-2 to win the Cup.
Season 2 saw plenty of moves to add some grit to this team. We felt that’s what we lacked in Season
1. I made some deals to bring in Scott
Parker, Donald Brashear, Georges Laraque, Kaspy, and CuJo that all worked out
well. Good luck next season all and
look for Detroit to repeat.”
Coach, Scotty Bowman – “What a team,
enjoyed coaching every one of those guys.
I’m not a Hall of Fame coach for nothin’. Think we can put up about 5 of this Cups in a row.”
Curtis Joseph – I’d like to thank GM Murray for
freeing me from that wreck of a Canucks’ team, and I look forward to taking
this Detroit team to the Finals again.”
Jay McKee – “3 game winners, haha…don’t think I’ve
scored that many goals in my life.”
Darius Kasparitis – Those Flyers sure skate fast, but
when I catch ‘em, I make ‘em pay.”
Jeff Friesen – “Maybe I don’t suck…people in ANA
always say I do.”
Daymond Langkow – “Least my talents weren’t wasting
away playing 3rd line for the Flyers.”
Martin LaPointe – “Penalties good, goals better.”
Mattias Ohlund – “Hope my buddy Jovo Cop joins me in
Detroit soon.”
Jeff O’Neill – Guess if Theo couldn’t beat ‘em…he
might as well join ‘em.”
Scott Gomez – “I always enjoy beating the Flyers, just
like my days back in NJ.”
Radek Dvorak – “Just don’t hit my knee.”
Brooks Orpik – “Gloves,
I don’t need no stinking gloves.”
Matthieu Dandeneault – “Least I’m outta Bowman’s
doghouse for now.”
Colin White – “$150,000, man I need to get paid more
for this. It’s hard work being a
hitman.”
Paul Martin – “Go, Gophers!”
J-P. Dumont – “Least I’M bigger than that little
shrimp on the Flyers’ team.”
Donald Brashear – “I’m an offensive weapon, why am I
buried on the 4th line. Look
coach, my hands are at least as good as LeClair’s.”
Georges Laraque – “This sucks…I didn’t even get to
beat the crap outta Roy.”
Tomas Holmstrom – “Least I got a ring before my
demotion to the minors.”
Scott Parker – “All the guys I used to fight, I play
with now…now what am I getting paid for?”
Steve Duchesne – “No I didn’t used to play with
Gordie Howe…at least, I don’t think I did.”
Adrian Aucoin – “My wimpy ass was hurt all the
playoffs…now I’m SUPER D!!”
Brian Gionta – “Woo Hoo”
Chris Osgood – “I’m a Wing, then a ‘Nuck, then a Leaf,
then an Islander, then a Wing again…at least Pat Quinn didn’t eat me while I
was there.”
Mike Dunham – “Hey, I got real good at charting
shots…I can take that away from the playoffs.”
Sean Avery – “Just add water.”
Jordan Krestanovich – “I forgot what to say”
Team Quotes
- Richard
Eisenbraun (New Jersey Devils) – “Next year…Feebs…you’re going down!!”
- Jason
Feebs (Philadelphia Flyers) – Feebs told me he didn’t like quotes…what
a fag.
- Scott
Usher (Colorado Avalanche – “Fuckin lines are gay…cuz after you do
‘em, you have to send them in.
Fuck!!!”
- Mike
Raydar (Ottawa Senators) – “We shall return! Lucky for you all that Sakic got hurt AGAIN, or the Sens
might have taught those Red Wings a lesson!”
- Omid
Naiem (Edmonton Oilers) – "I am Persian... well my parents are... and they are
not terrorists lol... i love this country and dont fuck with me! I am
guaranteeing that Edmonton will be top 4 in the western conference! i have
returned and all shall hail to me and beg for mercy when it is my team
kicking the shit out of yours!"
- Allan
Klompas (St. Louis Blues) – “After an average regular season and a
dismal playoffs, I am rather disappointed with some/all of my
players. After losing their
captain, Chris Pronger, midway through the season, the players looked toward
minor league players like Scott Mellanby for guidance, and we are all
aware of where that got the team.
Having said that, we hope to come out strong in the new season and
carry our depth into the playoffs where a lot of our younger players will
prosper.”
- Doug
Larre (Dallas Stars) – "This is a warning to all GM's.
Heads will fucking fly in the upcoming
season. You have pissed off the wrong GM. If I have to I will
get that slut Alt back.”
- Jason
Price (Columbus Blue Jackets – “This past season was a improvement for
our organization, but the first round isn't good enough. In the next
season we expect to struggle a little and maybe not make the playoffs as
our goaltenders are in a transitional period. However if Denis can step up
his game and become our starting goalie we may surprise a few people
again. Good luck to everyone in the next season.”
- Aaron
Klett (San Jose Sharks) – “Despite last year’s prediction of making
the Semi-Finals, the Sharks ran into the “rebuilding” Detroit Red
Wings. If you’re going to beat
someone, it might as well be the champs.
The Sharks made HUGE strides this year, picking up superstars like
Daniel Alfredsson, Sandis Ozolinsh, the most exciting defenseman to watch,
either making a rush up the ice for a goal or watching one go in his own
net on workhorse goalie, John Nabokov, who played in all 82 games, winning
40 of them, and finishing with a great .907 save%. Add to the mix Kim Jonsson, who some
are calling the next Nik Lidstrom, and youngsters Lars Jonsson and
Alexander Drozdetsky, an exciting young Russian winger who will be looking
for the Calder trophy this year, things are looking nowhere but up for the
Sharks…Chomp Chomp.”
- Brandyn
Errickson (Washington Capitals) – "Once again the Capitals had
a pretty good season followed by a horrible post season. Things in the
Capital city just can't go on like this with out a major over haul."
- Eric
Penz (Florida Panthers) – "Stepping into a team as the new guy in the office
is never easy. This team is rebuilding, developing, growing, but they are
growing the vision of someone else. I come here not to completely throw
out the old, but to build on it, to create the team I know the Panthers
can be. They say one good run is all hockey could muster out of a state
this far south, I strongly disagree. The rats will run wild again, the
Panthers will be hard to play against again."
- Tom
Rehm (Montreal Canadiens) – “...another dissapointing postseason for
the Canadiens - that´s basically
the resumee of this season.
Despite very inspired play by the likes of veterans Straka, Peca ,Robitaille and
the emergence of young guns like Marcel Hossa, Jiri Fischer etc. the Habs
were ousted again very early in the
playoffs and not few in ´La belle province´ put the blame on young star
goalie Jose Theodore who roughly has worn out his welcome......we´ll see
how the new season starts and wouldn’t be surprised if a huge deal happens
very
soon...”
- Peter
Fleck (Vancouver Canucks) – "I hate quotes, so no comment besides
this - Canucks will rock" :)
- Darren
Lavoie (Phoenix Coyotes) – “As the phoenix gm i would like to thank everyone for a
great season. Being my first
season in head office i was satisfied with what my team had done with me
behind the wheel. We are still a
young team and will continue to re-build and get better.”
- Phill
Matchett (Toronto Maple Leafs) – “All the so called GM’s in this league lick
balls! Leafs had a development
year, will be back in the top 4 in the East this season, No Doubt! Got a lethal offence, shit defence! Does it matter?, not fucking really,
since you’s are all little Bitches!
Most of which are small in the pants!, not sure it has anything to
do with hockey, but that stupid fucking Richard told me to write a quote
or he would fire my ass! How do
you like dem apples!”
- Trevor
Sabo (Nashville Predators) – “Nashville is looking to the entry draft to stockpile
with more youth then we already have. Sure we didn't make the
play-offs last year but we could've. We just wanted a higher
pick. Good luck to everyone this upcoming season.”
- James
Lee (Anaheim Mighty Ducks) – “Since my ducks started to show their age and not play
up to up to their large salaries, I decided to clean house. I accomplished
that and added youth at the same time. i think i have a more balanced
team, but penalties may be my downfall. Hey, at least we won't be boring
to watch!”
- Darryl
Wiebe (Boston Bruins) – “The Bruins continue to grow as a unit, and made the post-season.
That was our first goal. Next season that is not good enough, we want to
advance in the playoffs, and within 3 years be a solid cup contender. We
will achieve this success through the growth of our younger players and by
not trading away our talent for draft picks and cash."
- Watzov
(Minnesota Wild) – Minnesota has the young talent developing at a great pace and
finished season 2 off on a 4 game winning streak and figures to be a
playoff contender in season 3!!!”
- Duane
Larre (Buffalo Sabres) – “This year sucked the big one again. To
top it off, Gay Murray won, that
fucker. Oh well, next season we expect to be in the top 4 in the
East. We are rebuilding no more, we are here to make a statement.”
- Mike
Aimoe (Carolina Hurricanes) – “After a disappointing season, once again missing the
playoffs. Jacques Demers has decided to give the young and up and
coming stars of this team more ice time next season. We all feel
that they have something to prove and will play like every day their
roster spot depended on it. Unfortunately, this will spell an end to
long time seasoned veterans Glen Wesley and Kevin Hatcher who have both
been great players in the past for us but are getting lost in the
shuffle. We wish them good luck where ever they end up next season.”
- Josh
Silver (Chicago Blackhawks) – "Fucked over by SIM re-rates yet again,
the Hawks are fed up with this shit.
Watch out for a massive goon attack whenever you meet with them in
season 3."
- Richard
Halvorson (New York Rangers) – "You can't win if your always
counting the reason's on
why you’re going to lose." We're going after youth youth youth, they
will be the
future of this franchise as we expect to win.
- Dustin
Price (Calgary Flames) – “We're hoping to rebound from a disappointing
year. We are still a very young inexperienced team, but hopefully we can
add some experience and make the playoffs.”
- Rory
Neufeld (Los Angeles Kings) – “That Smitty guy’s a fag”
- Marc
Porcina (New York Islanders) – “So once again the NYI finished in the
bottom is the basement in the EASTERN Conference. The team is looking to
rebound with a stealer performance some key youth where acquired during
the season. Many veterans where passed on to other teams as they were not
producing. The future of this club looks very strong with the new up and
comers such as Brendan Bell, Chuck Kobasew, Branislav Mezei,Oleg Saprykin
and Rick DiPietro look to stand up and make big contributions as rising
stars in the NHL. So look for the NYI to set course to play hard and learn
some our mistakes during the season. The head office, GM and couches are
committed to putting a quality product on the ice and the wins will
come!!!!!!!”
- Brian
McNaughton (Pittsburgh Penguins) – “Another disappointing year as the
Pens failed to live up to expectations. Ah well, ill just make up
for it this year by winning the cup.”
- Joe
Sposito (Atlanta Thrashers) – “Galen is a fucking fag, but the teams
progress is looking good, Phill is a fag, so is josh and Pete, and Jason
is a homo also, and Scott likes little boys
- Grant
Hartwick (Tampa Bay Lightning) – “Our team was terrible this year, but the development
was great. Next year may be our best year of the 2 year-old MFHL. Things
look bright with solid centre, defense and goaltending.”
