THE BRAES & BANCHORY RESIDENTS ASSOCIATION
NEWS LETTER April 2004
Dear tenants and residents.
We are in the process of preparing for a summer day trip for parents and children, any voluntary help on the day would be very much appreciated. Our annual general meeting is on Monday the 31st of May in Banchory primary school at 7pm you are all welcome to come along. We are looking to increase the numbers on our committee, so if you can spare two hours per month we would welcome that.
Our meetings are held on the last Monday of each month in Banchory primary school from 7pm to 9pm, so if you are interested in joining our committee, please come to our AGM or phone, Alex Scobbie on 216630 - Robert Robinson on 722216 or Ann Rennie evenings 216375.
We will be calling around in the next few weeks to collect the yearly memberships, memberships are £1. Annually and old age pensioners are free.
We will be extending the neighbourhood watch scheme shortly to the areas that are not already covered, our last attempt to cover the Banchory area failed due to lack of response from tenants/residents. We would like to hear from you which area to cover next, so let us know at our AGM or phone the above numbers.
May we point out that there will be further disruption throughout the estate very soon when the council starts work to carry out the traffic calming measures, which we expect to give us a safer environment?
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the people who came along and supported our fund raising bingo tea last month, also to the local business and others who donated prizes.
