Brew Name: Mt. Hood Hefeweizen

Ingredients:

 

3 lbs American White Wheat Malt

2 lbs Pale 2-row

3 lbs Dry Wheat Extract

8 oz Cara pils Malt

4 oz Crystal Malt 20L

¾ oz Northern Brewer Hops (9 alpha) (60 Min)

½ oz Tettnanger Hops (3.8 alpha) (30 Min)

½ tsp Irish Moss

White Labs Liquid Tube Hefeweizen Ale Yeast WLP 300

 

Recipe:

 

Mix grains and mash with 3.5 gal of 150-155F water for 45 minutes. Sparge grains with 3 gal of 170F. Add the malt extract and bring to a boil. Add hops according to hopping schedule. Cool, add to carboy, aerate wort, and pitch yeast.
