Mr. Brian Young continued instructing at Porlockford

House, Captain Jack Peck continued as Manager and stable management lecturer at both The Tanyard and Porlockford House. Captain Chris Leyland who had suffered a stoke a few months before had recovered and returned to instruct

but in a lesser capacity. Mr. Jim Ffitch continued as Stud Groom, Pat Garstang, Rosemary Marwood and Jimmy Woods all remained as residential Instructors.

After much searching three appointments were made. Major R. M. (Paddy) Burke was appointed as Senior Instructor, Captain Tony Zandau as Instructor at the Tanyard and Major Quinn as Equitation Instructor.

The Children’s yard had not been very well supported during the last few years and it was decided that this aspect of the Tanyard should be dropped, instead children’s courses would be run for children over thirteen during the summer.
