Cell Saga
The Beginning
The story leaves off from the android saga. Gohan, Trunks and Bulma go and investigate the time machine that looks exactly like Trunks'. When they arrive on the scene, they see the time machine covered in mold. Trunks opens it up and sees an egg, and sees some weird looking shell of some disgusting looking insect. Gohan and Trunks know that there is something out there that could be dangerous. A nearby town is completely deserted, and all that is left is clothing of the people. The z fighters are at master roshii's house and becoming suspicious as to what could be going on. Meanwhile, Piccolo has come to Kami's tower to re-fuse with Kami. At first Kami is hesitant but with the new threat on the loose Kami knows that he has no other choice than to Fuse back with Piccolo. They fuse back in Piccolo's body and head down to Ginger town where this new threat is. Piccolo arrives to Gingertown and confronts the villain. They begin to battle with Piccolo showing tremendous power. At the same time the rest of the z fighters can feel all sorts of Ki coming from the battle. Piccolo eventually begins to get beaten up. Then the army comes to destroy Cell but they are no threat. Then Cell absorbs Piccolo's arm and Piccolo says he will submit only if Cell tells him more about his background. Cell explains who he is, that he was created by the cells of all the great fighters of the universe, and that he came back in time by killing Trunks and stealing his time machine, and he wants to absorb androids 17 and 18 to become the ultimate being. This was all a trick by Piccolo, as the time wasted by Cell telling him about his background was enough for Piccolo to rengenerate his arm. They begin to battle again, and Trunks and Krillen arrive along with Tien, Cell begins to run away. They chase him but he always got away.
Cell is coming to absorb the androids
The androids are heading for Goku's house. When they arrive they see that the house is completely empty. Then they head to master roshii's house where Goku is at the moment. Eventually Goku awakens from his comma. He heads out and trains a bit and tells Chi chi that he will start to train Gohan. Goku teleports to the plane the z fighters are using. Goku then tells them about the Room of spirit and time, a place where you can get one years training in one day. Goku, Gohan, Vegeta, and Trunks head to Kami's place where this room is located on. Trunks and Vegeta are the first to enter the room.
Meanwhile, the androids have arrived to master roshii's and are looking for Goku. Piccolo challenges 17 and they both head to a desolate island. They begin to battle with Piccolo having the upper hand at first. They both go back and fourth throughout the battle. Eventually Cell arrives and nearly kills Piccolo. He then begins to fight 17. 17 gets his ass kicked and is about to get absorbed until the silent android 16 has had enough. 16 gives Cell a rocket punch and begins to overwhelm Cell. 16 destroys Cell's tail but Cell is able to regenerate it. 16 continues to overwhelm Cell and after one blast, it seems as if Cell is destroyed, but Cell emerges and absorbs 17. He evolves and becomes more powerful. After that 16 could not even get a single hit off Cell. Tien comes and begins to distract Cell while the androids escaped. Tien faints, and Goku saves him and teleports back to Kami's place. Cell becomes angered since he cannot find the androids, and begins to destroy every island to find them. There is only one left and that is the one 16 and 18 are hiding.
Vegeta and Trunks have finally completed their training. They emerge, Trunks looks much older and Vegeta looks exactly the same. They both head out to find Cell. Vegeta begins by fighting Cell. He then powers up and begins to transform into USSJ(check out SSJ transformations). Vegeta begins to kick Cells ass easily while Trunks watches. Cell knows he cannot win but knows Vegeta's weakness when it comes to having a challenge. Cell is able to convince Vegeta to let him absorb 18 by saying he will be able to defeat Vegeta. Vegeta allows him to do so, Trunks tries to stop him but Vegeta prevents him from doing so. Cell finds 18 and absorbs her. Cell is now in perfect form. He battles Vegeta and is about to defeat him. Trunks is hesitating to join the battle since he knows that his father would hate him since Trunks is more powerful than he is. Vegeta gets knocked out and Trunks begins to power up into a much more buff form. He battles Cell and it is even with both doing well. Trunks begins to power up even more and gets even bigger and begins to overwhelm Cell. Cell admits that Trunks is much more powerful than he is but his form is too slow. Goku also mentions that when he transforms into that form in the room of spirit and time. Trunks tells Cell to finish him off since he made such a foolish mistake but Cell comes up with they idea of the Cell game right there.
In this tournament all the fighters in it must fight Cell, and if they lose to him, earth will be destroyed. Bulma and Dr. Briefs rebuild 16 and fix him up. Meanwhile Cell creates his ring for the tournament. After Goku finds out that Cell is more powerful than he is, he begins to train . Since Piccolo cannot defuse with Kami Goku teleports to new namek and brings Dende back to suceed Kami. Goku battles Cell eventually and both go back and fourth until Goku stops and tells Gohan to take his place. Gohan is confused by this and begins to battle. He tells Cell that when he gets angry, he can become unbelieveably powerful. Cell gets curious and begins to kick Gohan's ass. 16 gets behind Cell and tries to use his self destruction mechanism, but after Dr. Briefs removed it, and it is now useless. Cell then destroys 16 and all that is left of him is his head. Cell then threatens to harm the spectators. He steals senzu beans from Krillen and sends out 7 little Cell jr's. They begin to fight the spectators. 16's head is near Mr. Satan, and 16 tells mr. satan to take him near Gohan. Mr. Satan hesitates at first but heads towards Gohan and tosses the head by him. 16 encourages Gohan to fight, but then Cell steps on 16's head and that was the last straw. Gohan gets so angry that he goes SSJ2. He grabs some senzu beans and begins to kill each Cell Jr. easily.
Gohan begins to fight Cell and is kicking his ass pretty easily at first. Cell powers up to 100 percent but Gohan still has the upper hand. Gohan kicks Cell forcing 18 out of his body and sending him back to his second form. Knowing he cannot win, he activiates his self destrucion but Goku bravely transports Cell and himself to King Kai's planet. It is destroyed, and King Kai, Goku, and Gregory all die.
Trunks gets killed by a fireball and it turned out to be Cell who sent it. Cell explains that when he self destructed there was one brain cell left and that was enough for him to be rebuilt. Vegeta goes crazy to see his son killed and tries to fight Cell. Vegeta gets beaten pretty badly. Cell is about to destroy Vegeta but Gohan blocks Vegeta. Cell and Gohan have a Kamehameha battle for a while. Goku is encouraging Gohan through King kai. Cell cripples Gohans arm. Vegeta is angered by Gohan and Goku and sends a blast to Cell which distracts him. Then Gohan with one arm, uses all that he has and sends a Kamehameha that destroys Cell finally.
