FIRST STUDY TOUR FROM I.S.R.T. 2005

For the first time in the history of I.S.R.T. we are the first batch who managed to go for a study tour. This is happened because of the joint attempt of our teachers& the students of fourth year 2003 session (6th batch).

The beginning:

Our route was Dhaka-Rangamati-Bandarban-Cox’sbazar-Dhaka. We started on 26th February, 2005. We prepared t-shirts and caps for the participant students & teachers. We started at 10:20pm from I.S.R.T. Campus by a luxurious chair coach. Our director Mrs. Azmeri khan, senior teacher Dr. Sayed Shahadat Hossain and Md. Asaduzzaman came to see off us. 24 students and 3 teachers, Md. Lutfor Rahman, Md. Shahed Masud and Md. Shafiqur Rahman took part in the tour. We are transformed into the world of magic as the bus started the journey to reach our destination. l. We all cheered up with  great joy. That’s the beginning.

Rangamati:

After  10 hours long journey we reached at Rangamati, the mountainous region of great beauty. Lord has made a wonderful combination here. We reside here in hotel Anika. The hotel was not so well decorated but we managed to stay there. After having  break fast we started for site seeing by boat on the kaptai lake, the largest lake in Bangladesh. Our boat was passing through the blue water , green hills are on the either sides of the lake. We lost ourselves in the midst of nature. We reached the Shuvoling waterfall but we became frustrated, there was a narrow flow of water as it was a dry season. Next we went to Shuvolong hill. We all tried to get up on the 2200 ft high hill. But only 14 of us could make it happen. Lutfor sir and Shafiq sir made it, but Masud sir tried his best and he tried 2/3 times  and finally gave up. Same did happen to some students. Climbing Everest won’t be so joyous. The beauty of serene Rangamati  is seen perfectly from the top of the hill. People are really unfortunate who could not make up their way up to the top of the hill. They missed the serpentine beauty of Rangamati from the top . Then we went to see the famous hanging bridge. We were getting tired then and willing to go back to the hotel. At afternoon we reached the shore. We all were hungry and took our lunch. The evening passed by just walking around the city. We found famous “Bangla” banana at the market. At night we had seen something which could possibly bring  us back again and again  in the memory lane of Rangamati. The huge silvery moon  was there alone in the jet black sky. Her mirroring in the  lake water mesmerized us. “Uncle sun”(shourjo-mama) did not lag behind to show his charm as the morning sky was spread over the hills with trillions of hues. At 9 am we started for Bandarban.

Bandarban :

This is the second day of our tour. We were enjoying every turning points of the road. There stands the high hill in one side of the road but other side of the road is 200-1000 ft deep. We crossed Chittagong to reach Bandarban. We reached our destination at noon. We reside at hotel Purobi and hotel Hill Bird jointly. We took rest and had our lunch then went out to see the Golden Temple of the Buddhists. The temple was just out side the city. The beautiful temple had a deep impact on us. The temple is on a hill. There are 144 stairs to climb the hill. At the evening we just roamed  the Bandarban town. It is a very small city. A little numbers of tribal are seen in the city. A small river named Shonkho is flowing over the city. The next morning, we started for the Chimbuk Mountain. Our transport was traditional “Chander Gari”, the special jeep to climb up on Chimbuk. We passed through hilles and valies. The road is exciting and dangerous enough to leave us breathless.Nature is wonderful here. The peak of the mountaines are covered with clouds. It seemed that we can touch the sky. On the way we see many tribal men and women working in the Banana and pineapple gardens. While coming back, we saw a wonderful waterfall named “shoilopropat”. Form there we came back to hotel and started for Cox’s Bazar. On the way we saw Meghla, a wonderful spot. At after noon we moved towards Cox’s Bazar.

Cox’s Bazar:

The Driver was driving at a high speed to see the sunset at Cox’s Bazar. On the bus our teachers served us ice creams. In spite of driver’s effort, we failed to reach Cox’s Bazar before sunset. So we directly went to hotel Diamond Palace. This hotel is very wonderful and well decorated. After a little refreshment we went to the beach. The light house was showing the path to the ships of the Bay of Bengal. At night we had a barbeque party. Our friends and teachers took part in some funny events. We enjoyed the party very much. Next morning, we all went to the beach and took our bath there. This was the most enjoyable moment in the tour. Lots of people were enjoying the bath. Our teachers joined us enthusiastically . It seems they went back to their own childhood. We spend there for more than 4 hours. Time passed like a concord .At afternoon the  sea  turned dangerous and we left the beach. We were free during the afternoon and we moved to different places. At evening we went to the famous Barmiz market. Every one bought different gift items for their nearest and dearest ones. Lutfor sir bought a huge pile of dried fishe. After taking the dinner, we started for Dhaka.

The come back:

Its now time to come back. Happy days flies quickly. All of us were too tired that most of us fall asleep after a few minutes as the bus started. Some were awaking and recalled those four exciting days. The bus was running through deep dark nature. The hills, trees, rivers, moon all bade us good buy. The bus was running  but the road seemed infinite. We took a break at 5.45 am at Comilla. We reached Dhaka at last, the city of crowd, chaos and, traffic jam. We got down at our campus at 9.30 am. All the students and teachers get down from the bus in a tired and sleepy face. That’s the end. In fact that’s the beginning. The beginning of our juniors.  We pioneered a tradition and this should be kept up by next batches to come in the coming years.
