SEPT 2001 MAXPAYNE
By far the best game out this year as a kick but no holds bar action vrs just down right dirty fighting... this game tops it all!
The game play is some of the best I have played so far. The camera views are 100% realistic in out of a motion movie film, and the graphics are sure to make your eyes pop out of your head! The game engine is state of the art for our time so I would say if you have a pent 450 MHz or better and 64 megs of RAM sporting a 32 meg RAM video card don't sit here and look at these pic's... GET UP GO OUT AND GET THE GAME!

The play is eye grabbing to me! I like the Bullet Time it is a key to to the game, it also makes the game seam like a motion film as you right click your mouse slip into slow motion (matrix style) and clean house!
The game play: The best thing any gamer can do is to research.. How do we make a game, what applications, what images, story line, story boards, sounds, music, replay value, you name it all takes research.. If you where to go to a book store and ask for the book Max Payne it would be the same as going to a computer store and picking up a copy to play on your console or PC. The game plays out like a book and keeps you glued to the screen with the question, what is next? How will it end.
You will have to see....
If you are a designer or game developer I would just like to say this is a must see in the development of the engine which makes this all come together. The effects are straight out of a motion film, tracing, slow motion on Demand and more. The texture mapping is the best I have looked at since Half-life or Rogue Spear Even Swat 3, Max Payne is beyond them and I hope there is some kind of add-on or maybe even a new story with the same character.
