Rally Art? Yes it is an art! The art of the modification of new cars. What is the principal goal in Rally?Try to go against the four elements; to perform in a
car that you created and on witch you gave all of your energy.
The thing that throw us in the writing of this site is that we know a rallyer; Marc Racine.
On February 11th to the 13th 2000, there was a
rally event in Maniwaki. The main title of the race was :
"Perce-Neige" because the racing cars are the few ones that can run in those conditions!
At first, our favorite rally cars are Subaru. That's why this site will trade on them.
The principal characteristics why we chose those magnificient cars are so evident:
-their integral traction
-their aggresive design
-their fiability
-their off-road performances
The principal Subaru models are the Impreza, the Legacy and the Forester and their specifications are similar. The word "Subaru" comes from Japanese and means "unite". It also represents a star group, as you can see in the logo! Since 20 years, the Subaru's ingeneers try to perfect their AWD system because they beleive it is the best way to perform in security and to travel on any type of road! The graphic below showes us how the four wheels continuously haves grip on the terrain, (even in deep mud)! When the electronic sensors feel a change in the traction of a wheel, they automaticaly send more power to the wheels that have grip. The difference between FWD (four wheel drive) and AWD (all wheel drive)is that FWD has a traction selector and AWD doesn't have one. In other words, if you go at 65 mph and suddenly, a part of the road is covered of snow, you don't have the time to select the traction by your own!!With the AWD system, the 4 wheels are always conected to the engine.
