Angelina Jolie on Love

I love men and women.

It should be a combination of thinking, 'I love you but I just want to rip that apart and eat you'.

I learned that being that close to another human being is the most amazing thing a person can do. I learned what happens when you are hungry for something and you feel that the person next to you can't possibly understand, so you go outside of the marriage to find it.(first marriage)

I probably would have married Jenny Shimizu if I hadn't married my husband. I fell in love with her the first second I saw her. Actually, I saw when she was being cast in Foxfire, and I thought she had just read for my part. I thought I was going to lose the job. I said to myself, "Oh, my God, that's Legs." She's great. We had a lot of fun.

I was figuring things out about myself, when I was realizing that I was attracted to women also...When I realized that somebody like Jenny could be a deep love for me.

Women have a certain sexuality, and I think their bodies are beautiful and I'm not embarrassed to explore that...I love all sides of me, but I have been experimenting more with that lovely woman side. In this age of feminism, I would hate for the whole gentlemen and ladies thing to be lost.

(when Angelina and Billy Bob Thornton first began seeing each other)I...We've...been friends for a long time, and we've been spending more time together lately, yeah. I think he's an amazing person I've ever met in my life. He's always been my favorite director, the actor I love to watch, the writer I love to read, or hear his words said. And I met him, and he was just such a good person: one of the funniest people on the planet, and really- just a great, great person. He doesn't judge anybody..... He's the kind of person that I would like to be like, you know? So for all those reasons he's somebody I wanted as a friend. And , you know, he's the sexiest fucking... creature that ever lived. [Exhales] So I've been trying to be subtle, but that just went out the fucking window, didn't it? [Laughter]

You know when you love someone so much you can almost kill them? I nearly was killed last night, and it was the nicest thing anyone ever said to me...Jolie recalled that she nearly fainted a few days earlier when Thornton kissed her, and warned that "I'd kill anyone who even looked at him the wrong way."

(you went and got married!)I know. I'm so fuckin' happy... You know you always expect a certain amount of criticism and we've had that too, but we are very much in love and we are going to share our lives with people. We don't mind. And we hope people are rooting for us rather than being against us.

I go to sleep at night looking over a pillow at the love of my life and just stare at him...
