One of my favorite TV shows during the late '80s was Beauty and the Beast starring Ron Pearlman and Linda Hamilton. It was a love story about a District Attorney who is rescued by a Man-Beast who lives beneath the city streets with a band of outcasts. The beast's name is Vincent. Unlike most "monsters", Vincent had a gentle soul and enjoyed reading classic literature.

The song that I chose for this video was "Ordinary World" by Duran Duran. The song mentions trying to make your way in the ordinary world. Vincent could never be a part of the ordinary world, so in the video, he debates whether to go out into the open or not.

There are lots of scenes where it is dark and Vincent is walking around holding a candle. He meets a young boy who runs away when he sees his beastly appearance. Finally, he meets a little blind boy who stumbles and falls. Vincent helps him up. The boy feels Vincent's face and is not afraid. Vincent takes him to his home and feeds him. The music fades with Vincent reading Shakespeare to the little blind boy. The video ends with Vincent roaring like a lion.
