This is Luna here. The most important part of Raye and Mina's lives, as much as they'd like to just be "normal" sometimes, is being a Sailor Scout. The earth depends on their skills for survival against the negaverse. Sailor Venus and Sailor Mars are two of the five main Scouts that help drive out all the negative forces.
