NOVEMBER EDITION 2000November rain
The wet season seems to have started again with a huge downpour recently in Townville and surrounding areas. I left the city on Sunday the 12th November to fly to Brisbane and the weather seemed to have followed me down here. I have been working at the Courier Mail Print Centre for the last two weeks of my apprenticeship training. It’s been a good experience working at a much larger Print Site and I have learnt a lot in the last two weeks.
Saturday I’m off to Melbourne to visit my step-sister and some friends for a few days. I am looking forward to seeing Kathryn’s baby "Mia Courtney" who turned one in September. I haven’t seen Mia yet so am looking forward to meeting her. I will also visit an ex-workmate, Poddy, who is working at the ‘AGE’ in Melbourne now. If I’m lucky he might be able to arrange a tour.
Before I left Townsville I took some photos of my nieces ‘Madeline and Jasmine’. Jasmine turned one on the 19th November however I missed her birthday because I’m in Brisbane. The kids grow up so fast and they look different every time you see them.
Last Monday I was given free tickets to see a movie called ‘Girl Fight’. One of the bosses at work couldn’t go to it so he asked if I would like to go which was very nice of him to ask me. It was a double pass so I asked a friend to come along with me. I accidently ordered a large bucket of popcorn and it was very salty, however I didn’t want to waste it so I ate as much as I could. Next time I won’t get such a big bucket of popcorn I think!!
