On behalf of the Barossa Half Marathon Committee, Race Directors Trevor Miller and Phillip Othams, invite all runners to participate in the 2000 Barossa Half Marathon and 10k & 5.5k Family Fun Runs.
Our major sponsor Brauer Natural Medicine welcomes you to the Barossa Valley for the running of these events. We hope you will stay after the events and enjoy the hospitality the region has to offer.

Race details
  • Start - Finish at the Barossa Recreation Centre, Magnolia St, Tanunda, South Australia

  • Start time9am Sunday 28 May 2000 (8am for Half Marathon walkers

    • 3 laps of the course for the Half Marathon
    • 10km
    • 5.5km
    • Eligibility: Half Marathon runners must be over 16 years of age on race day.
    Athletics SA Championships - open to athletes registered with Athletics SA and meeting Athletics SA eligibility criteria.

    • Entry fee: Entry fees are non-refundable. A late entry fee applies of + $5 applies on race day.

      • Half marathon: $15
      • Athletics SA Championships: $15
      • 10km: $10
      • 5.5km: $5

      Race numbers and instructions will be mailed to entrants prior to the race. Entrants need to enclose a stamped, self addressed, business sized envelope to ensure the prompt return of their race number and instructions.

      • Distance Markers will show distance every 5km.
      • Aid stations:Spring water will be available at drink stations on the course. St Johns Ambulance will be in attendance to provide first aid.
      • Showers: Hot showers are available post-race in the Barossa Valley Recreation Centre.
      • Refreshments will be available from the canteen in the Barossa Valley Recreation Centre Hot and cold drinks and snacks will available.
      • Results: will be posted to this site as soon as possible after the event. They can be posted to requesting participants on receipt of a business size stamped, self addressed envelope. Results will also be available in the Barossa & Light Herald and from Bailettis, Hindley St, Adelaide after 5 June.
      • Certificates: All finishers will receive a Finishers Certificate and a goody bag of give aways provided by our sponsors.
      • Prizes: Random draw prizes, generously provided by our sponsors, are listed on the board. Approximately 1 in 4 participants receive a random draw prize.
