WHO AM I?

Who is Mark Boyd? Well, to get to know me, first you have to know a little about my past. I grew up on the north coast of California, right near the Pacific Ocean and the Redwood Empire. My dad pastored a small church in a town called Klamath. I'm sure that most of you are thinking, "So that's why he is so weird, because he is a preacher's kid". It's a good excuse and I have used it for years

When I was 13, my family moved to Western Kentucky where my dad accepted another pastoral position. It took me some time to adjust, but eventually I made some friends and attended high school and later college. I moved back to California in 1989 to marry Patti, my childhood sweetheart.

Shortly after the birth of our first son, Ryan, we moved to Eastern Kentucky where my parents had relocated while I was living in California. Once again, it took some time to adjust to the culture change, but I made many friends and had some interesting experiences. Patti and I had two more sons while living in Kentucky, Matthew and Alex.

Patti and I dreamed of moving back to Northern California for years, and when the call center where I was employed announced that they would be closing, we took the opportunity to start over again and moved back to California in the spring of 2004.

I am very happy being back and feel that this is truly my home. I enjoy walks in nature and along the many beaches we have here on the North Coast. I have also had the opportunity to be a part of an independent film project with the making of the film "Illegal Smile".

The kids are growing up quickly, Ryan is now 19 and in the US Army, Matthew is 16, and Alex turned 10 on New Years Eve. You can learn more about me and my family by visiting my "Normal" web page:
