“J-J-Jus...Justin? Wha...?” Amy sprang out of bed. Looking down, she found that she was not only wearing Justin’s shirt, she was wearing ONLY his blue shirt. Well, that and her bra and a pair of undies. She grabbed the sheet off of the bed and wrapped it around herself. “Did we...?!?”
Justin crossed his arms across his bare chest. He didn’t even care that he was in ONLY a pair of blue plaid boxers. “Well, it sure as hell LOOKS like it, huh?” He shook his head and threw his arms up in the air. “HOW could I have done this to Lance?!? How could I have done this to YOU? I...I couldn’t have...WE couldn’t have!! I didn’t think we were even that drunk...I just remember sitting down and dozing on the couch. I can’t even remember if you sat down next to me...” He was pacing around the room, arms flailing madly, TRYING to make sense of what the two were faced with.
A few tears were forming in the corner of Amy’s eyes. “No, no, NO...” She cried as she broke down. “We didn’t Justin, we DIDN’T! But I don’t know why else I would be lying next to you...in a BED...wearing YOUR shirt...you’re only in you DRAWERS! Good Lord, Lance, I’m so sorry...” She put her face in her hands. She continued, muffled. “What if...we didn’t even use anything! I mean, I’m not at ‘that time of the month’...but with Lance, at least he used a condom, too...”
“Wait, you and Lance just...you know...?” He interrupted.
“YES, we DID! So friggin’ WHAT?!? That’s NOT the issue here!” She punched his arm with anger. But then, she continued softly, with a scared edge to her voice. “What if...what if my timing was wrong? What if I...?!?”
He let out a huge, scared sigh and grabbed the hand that was still lightly beating him. “I...I don’t know, Ames – but what are the chances of THAT happening? We’ll deal with that IF it comes up...But until then, we’ll just have to keep it quiet and see what happens when Lance comes back. I don’t know if we even HAVE to tell him. It’s OBVIOUS that it didn’t mean anything to either of us. God, I don’t even remember coming in here with you! It’ll all work out, I promise...” Justin sat down next to her and put his arm around her. At first she cringed away from his touch, only imagining the oddness of being in someone OTHER than Lance’s arms, but eventually, she grew too upset and clung to his barely clothed figure. He rocked her gently, attempting to soothe her sobbing and trying to figure out how or IF he’d explain this to one of his best friends.

Caroline woke up early that morning. She was expecting a very important piece of mail and she didn’t want to miss the early arriving mailman. At around 10:45 or so, she watched Pauley, the mailman, put a single envelope in her mailbox. As soon as he was out of view, she stormed out of her front door and picked up the letter. It was a small envelope, and she feared the worst. Aaron had risen in time to hear her slam to door shut after returning back inside.
“It is good news or bad news, Caroline?” He came up behind her and put his arm on her shoulders.
“I...I don’t know, Hun. I haven’t looked yet...” She had ripped it open on the way in, but she couldn’t bring herself to read it. “Here, YOU do it.” She shoved it in Aaron’s face and he unfolded the letter slowly. Scanning it, he looked sad. He chucked it over onto the couch and started walking away.
“Aaron...?” She had a quivering in her voice.
He muttered something under his breath. “Cnnngrrrtttssss...”
“What? Aaron...what did it say?!? Did you just say con...”
He slowly turned around. Instead of sadness, there was a HUGE smile on his face. “I said...CONGRATS! You made it, Kiddo! A six-week internship in Boston!! They chose YOU!”
Caroline broke off into a run and jumped happily into Aaron’s arms. “I GOT IT, I GOT IT, AARON!!!” She had applied for a journalism internship in Boston to study with some of the best writers in the North East. She wanted that job SO badly...and now she HAD it. Aaron was happy for her...but, sadly, NOT for the reason that she was his girlfriend and he SHOULD be happy for her. It was much MORE for the reason that now she’d be gone for six weeks and he’d have Jen ALL to himself.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Amy and Justin had switched back and found their rightful clothes soon after she broke down. Returning to her apartment, she got in the shower and let the cool water drench over her - Justin had decided to head to the courts to clear his head. After a good forty-five minutes, Amy finally emerged and threw on a white T-shirt and a pair of comfy Abercrombie pants. “Dear, GOOD Lord. How did this happen? WHY? I didn’t mean too...” She figured a walk would do her some good. Grabbing her sunglasses, she headed outside. Not really wanting to spill the beans, but DYING to talk to someone, she decided to head for Kristin’s. The whole way, she continually kicked herself, apologizing to Justin, herself and, most importantly, Lance. ‘My Sweet Lansten...how could I do this to you? My Baby...My precious little Angel Baby. HOW? WHY? I’m so sorry...’
She arrived at Kristin’s a few minutes later and knocked lightly on the door. There was no answer for a long time. She tried again. Finally, after a good five minutes, a groggy, but content looking Kristin came to the door.
“Amy! Wh-what are you doing here?!?” She perked up and starting scanning her face for answers.
“I...I just wanted to talk, that’s all.” She didn’t even wait for an invitation, but instead, just barreled her way inside. She stopped dead in her tracks though, as her jaw dropped to the ground and a HUGE smile crept over her face. There, in front of her, was a good-looking Italian guy, wearing only a pair of skivvies and a slightly guilty expression, sitting on Kristin’s family room couch.
“Joseph!! Aww, Kristin Marie...Whatcha doin’ with the ‘Fat One’, huh?!?” Forgetting her own problems, she asked the sheepish couple with a giggle. “I think we have an unexpected LUUUUVVVV match here. OK...start spilling!” She settled back against the couch as Joey put a pillow over his vitals and cleared his throat nervously.
“Well, fine...here’s the deal...but PLEASE keep this quiet.” Amy consented with a nod. Kristin then explained the whole story as Amy looked on, amused as ALL hell.

(~) Part 22 (~)
The next few weeks passed rather uneventfully. Well, except for one huge one, but that will be explained later. The group as a whole made no progress. It was, unfortunately, still Justin, Lance, and Chris against JC and Joey. The two groups hadn’t spoken once, which made the girls even more determined to find some kind of settlement - the world missed them! In a society of ONLY the Backstreet Boys, there were endless tabloid speculations, but as of yet, they weren’t plagued TOO bad by the media. Even ‘Total Request Live’ was a lot more boring with no new videos or music being made - especially no competition with BSB for the number one spot!! The madness HAD to end.
Within the couples, there wasn’t too much action. Chris and Megan were going QUITE strong, and the fact that they were always together really added to this fact. Their personalities were perfect for each other, and every day, they found a new way that they complimented the other.
Joey and Kristin had cooled their fling a little. It almost seemed as if, now that someone knew, all the fun was knocked out of it. They only saw each other sporadically, and most times, they just spent the time talking. More and more, it came out how much Joey was longing for Caroline and Kristin for JC. The counseling sessions they held for each other only added to this loss that they both felt. Soon, it became apparent that their was no more THEM...only a quest to get their former loves back.
JC and Michelle were doing mediocre in their relationship. He had somewhat recovered from the initial shock of the wind incident. However, he still couldn’t shake it that he should somehow be back with Kristin. ‘Naw,’ he would always tell himself, ‘I’m happy with Michelle. She’s a beautiful, sweet, caring, intelligent girl. I like her a lot and she likes me. We’re meant to be together. Yeah, we’re MEANT to have each other for a while...’ The more he had to remind himself of this, though, the less convincing he became. He couldn’t just go running back to Kristin, though. That would be giving in and showing way too much weakness. After endless nights of tossing and turning, he decided to just wait it out and see how things transpired. He didn’t want to hurt Michelle, so that was another factor holding him back. She seemed to care for him so much. It always came back to this conclusion, though: ‘Maybe Kris’ll make the first move - yeah, that’d be great.’
Aaron had attempted to get to Jen a few more times since the incident in the park, but he was never successful. She avoided him at all costs, and he couldn’t seem to get her alone. “In due time, my dear...in due time...” He always hissed these terrifying words in her face right before retreating. “I NEVER admit defeat.” He was determined to get what he really wanted - HER, and nothing was going to change that.
There was NO progress made between Justin and Jen at ALL, either. He had almost forgotten about the diary, and sadly, so had Amy. Unfortunately, so had Jen...or else maybe Justin could have realized that she was NOT lying and that he needed to teach Aaron a lesson. Justin himself had come across Adrienne a few more times, but he finally learned how to shut her down long enough to escape. In due time, SHE’D have to be taught a lesson, too.
Lance returned from Mississippi about a week after he had abruptly left. He had shown much improvement from the first day, but he still wasn’t quite the same. Justin and Amy had decided to keep their little incident a secret for the moment - they couldn’t bear to harm the poor boy any more than he had already been hurt. Week by week, his normally jovial exterior was slowly returning, all thanks to endless displays of love and affection from Amy. She basically waited on him hand and foot until he at least sported some kind of semi-permanent smile.
This smile was soon to fade though...
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
With sweaty palms and shaking fingers, she fumbled with the small box. She couldn’t believe she had even found the nerve to bring the package up to the cashier. But she did...and now she stood with wobbly knees, watching the clock tick by in never ending seconds.
Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, five minutes had passed. She closed her eyes and turned around slowly, now facing her bathroom counter.
When she opened her eyes, her throat sank down to the pit of her stomach as a HUGELY important question pressed into her head. ‘Who...?’
What she saw both alarmed her and terrified her...
Her worst nightmare had ACTUALLY come true...
A plus sign.

(~) Part 23 (~)
It took a good couple of few weeks for Amy’s initial shock to wear off. She had gone to the doctor’s and confirmed the results of the test. She was, in fact, six weeks pregnant. She had basically shut down emotionally. Luckily, Lance dismissed her mood change and accepted her explanation that she hadn’t been feeling well to begin with, and the stress over the loss of Gramps had just worn her down even more. She couldn’t bring herself to face Lance OR Justin with the truth yet. She was so terrified to find out both of their reactions; Justin’s to her being pregnant - period, and Lance’s to her being pregnant AND the possibility of the baby not even being HIS. Deciding to tell them together, she hadn’t yet found the opportunity to break the news. Her time would come, though...
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
JC had somewhat pushed all thoughts about Kristin out of his head for the time being. Contrary to what he thought before, he found that the more time he spent with Michelle, the less time he could actually spend thinking about Kristin. Michelle was such a great girl; there wasn’t anything too serious between them, but it was a good diversion from the stress and loneliness of a broken ‘NSync. The day after Amy went to the doctor’s, they had decided to spend a the afternoon shopping at the Menlo Park Mall.
“JC...I wanna go to the GAP. Are you gonna come with me?” She said, squeezing the hand she had been holding. As soon as she mentioned the name JC, though, the HUGE group of girls that had been following them decided it was time to pounce.
“JaaayyyyCeeeeee!!! JC, I LOVE YOU!”
“Omigod, omigod, omigod...it’s JC...IT’S JC!!!!”
“Can I have your autograph?!?”
“AHHHH, you’re even better looking in person!!!”
“Can I marry you? Molly Chasez...doesn’t that sound good?!?”
JC just stood there with an amused grin on his face. He looked over and smiled at Michelle as she slipped into the GAP as to not cause a commotion. He literally had about four young girls HANGING off of his arms and there was an 11-year-old or so latched onto his waist with her head buried in his abdomen. After numerous pictures, countless autographs, and LOTS of teary hugs, the group of girls finally dispersed. He glanced into the GAP and found that Michelle was just going INTO the dressing room. Feeling the uncomfortable pang of a full bladder, he put his ball cap back on (in an attempt to TRY to fit in) and headed off to the bathrooms.
On his way there, he was stopped by a group of older admirers, wrote a few more autographs, but then finally made it to the bathroom. After relieving himself (yes, girls, the boys of ‘NSync DO actually go to the bathroom!) he started on his way back. A familiar female voice stopped him in his tracks.
“JC! How ARE you?!? I haven’t seen you in such a long time!” It was a voice that brought a million pleasant memories flooding back into his mind. The angelic voice that he had tried so hard to forget...
Kristin.
He spun around slowly and faced her. “H-Hey, Kris! Yeah, it’s been a while, huh?” She walked up to him and the two embraced in a long hug. ‘Is it just me,’ JC thought to himself, ‘or does she seem to NOT want to let go just about as much as I don’t?’
After a good minute or so, the two finally separated. “So, how are ya, Hun? You good?” She asked shyly.
“Yeah, I am. I’m fine, I guess!” He tried to sound as optimistic as possible. “And you...?”
“Fine...I’m doin’ OK, I guess...” She wasn’t much more convincing as her eyes searched his, almost looking for answers.
“So...”
“So...”
Neither one knew how to break the silence. The had just spent TOO much time apart.
JC finally broke it. “Well, I, uh...I’m kinda here with someone, and I don’t wanna keep her waiting...”
“H-her?” Kristin stuttered. She tried to sound like she was just questioning in a friendly sort of way, but that didn’t work out too well - her voice gave a lovely, tell-tale squeak on the single word she spoke. Amy hadn’t mentioned any ‘her’ in her talkings about JC.
“Uh, yeah. It’s a girl that I’m kinda...seeing, I suppose. Her name’s M-Michelle.” He had heard this disappointment in her voice, and he was flustered for a moment.
“Alrighty, then. Umm, have fun, I guess. I’ll see you - bye...” She could almost feel tears in her eyes and turned to leave before he could see them.
“Bye...” JC waved to no one. But then he continued out loud. “I’m sorry, Kris. I shouldn’t have found someone else. I really DO miss you...” He just stood there, too shocked to move for the moment, and then whispered one more statement before finally turning to go back to the GAP:
“I...I love you...”

(~) Part 24 (~)
Amy was going to just do it. The time for breaking the news was finally here. ‘I HAVE to do it,’ she told herself over and over. ‘The sooner I just break down and let them know, the better.’ After MUCH thought, though, she decided that the easiest way to let them know was to not tell them all at once, but to tell Justin about the pregnancy first...and then break the news to poor Lance together.
After shoving Lance off to go run some errands for her, she called Justin and had him come over. He arrived a few minutes later.
“Hey, Justin...” She looked at him cautiously to see what kind of mood he was in. Unfortunately, it didn’t seem like a very good one.
“Hey, Ames,” he replied quite miserably.
“What’s wrong, J?” She decided to deal with his problem first. “Come on...you can tell me. We’ve certainly shared a LOT more than problems, so, uh...” She realized the awkwardness of her statement as soon as she made it, especially because of what she was about to tell him - she saw him cringe.
He just laughed nervously and finally shook off the comment. “Well, that girl I told you about, Adrienne...she’s, uh, at it again. She just harassed me the whole way over here.” He threw his arms up in the air with frustration.
Amy looked shocked. “Wait, her name’s Adrienne?”
“Yeah, why? I didn’t tell you that? I thought I mentioned her name to you before...” He looked at her questioningly.
“NO! You never mentioned her name before! Adrienne...short girl, dark brown hair, always wears Gucci sunglasses, dresses pretty classy? Is that her?!?”
“Yeah, you know her?”
“Yeah! And I HATE that BITCH!” She got all excited, forgetting for a second why she even called Justin to her apartment.
She laughed heartily. “Geez, what’d she ever do to YOU to get ya’ll huffy?”
“Nothing...she never did ANYTHING to me, actually. I went to high school with her. She hurt about six of my friends, though. I was the only one that she could never EVER get. See, that’s her deal...all she does is get back at people. She’s the most conniving, ruthless girls I’ve ever met. And she COULDN’T get me!!! Ha-HA! Till the day we graduated, she tried SO hard to break down my guard, but I ALWAYS figured her out. Omigod, Justin, you’re problems are solved. I PROMISE you, Adrienne will be out of your hair FOREVER if you do this with me...AND you can prove to Jen that it was all her, and not you!!”
“You’re KIDDING?!? You’re a lifesaver, Ames! I could kiss you!” Justin hugged her with a huge smile.
“Uh, don’t say that, J...uh-uh...no.” She pulled back and raised her eyebrows.
“Sorry...I forgot.” He said remembering their situation.
Amy just shook her head and sighed. Well, after she told him the news, he wouldn’t be forgetting quite so easily. ‘Oh, well...I have to just push that aside for now. I gotta get this straightened out for him first.’
“OK, here’s the deal...”
She explained her whole plan as evil smiles crept over both their faces. Now it was Amy’s turn to get Adrienne - except this time, unlike all of Adrienne’s, the plan would work.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Amy walked up to Adrienne’s door and knocked gingerly. The well-dressed girl came to the door soon after.
“What the hell do YOU want?” Adrienne hissed at the girl she hated more than anyone else in the world.
“Well, hello to you, too, Adrienne, Dear.” She said caustically as she pushed her way past her and walked into the living room.
“Wh-what are you doing?!? I...I HATE you! Get out of my house!” She followed Amy in and looked at her questioningly.
“See, Adrienne...this time, we’re gonna put our hate aside...”
“WHAT are you talking about, Girl?!?”
“I need your help. There’s someone I need to HURT and hurt BAD. And that’s where you come in...”
As much as Adrienne loathed even the NAME Amy, she was always interested in a good plan. After a long pause, she asked, “OK, what’s the deal, then? - THEN I’ll decide what I’m gonna do...”
“Well, I have this friend. Well, SO-called friend. She completely lied to me, spread nasty rumors, and then denied it. SO, I need to get her back. The main reason I came to you, is that you know the one man that means the world to her...Justin Randall Timberlake.”
Adrienne’s eyes lit up. “JUSTIN?!? I gotta hurt Justin’s girl?!? Great! I gotta get that bitch outta the way, anyway. I WANT that boy. Have you ever seen the PACKAGE he’s carryin’?!?”
“Um, yeah..well, that’s not my, uh...my area, but yeah, I’ve heard it looks pretty good. But ANYway, I knew you’ve been going after Justin for a while now, even though he’s ‘resisted all of your advances’...” Amy put stress on these five words.
“Yeah, well, he’s DEFINITELY been tough to get through to. I try EVERYthing, and he won’t give me NOTHIN’. That damn slut’s been holding him back. He keeps talking about how much he loves his girlfriend...blah, blah, BLAH. If I can get HER outta the way, I’m good to go...Justin’s mine. I HAVE to have him...and I will, eventually. What do you want me to do to her?”
“Well, that’s the thing...I’m not really sure what I want to be done. I want something good...something we’re gonna put some thought into. Wanna catch a bite and talk about it? I don’t want to decide just on a whim, here.” She looked at her hopefully.
She sighed. “Yeah, I guess. I can’t believe I’m doing this for YOU. But it’s about that whore named JEN, so it’s all good, I guess. Be right back.” She disappeared into her room for a few minutes and then came back with her sunglasses and a light jacket.
“Ready?” She asked.
“Oh, yeah...” Amy said evilly.
“Geez, girl, you’re really getting into this!” She said with a surprised expression.
“You BET I am...” She said with an mischievous giggle.
Adrienne reached over and opened up the door...and almost bumped RIGHT into Justin.
“Jus! Wh-what are you doin’ here?” She asked a little nervously.
Amy just turned to her with a smirk. Reaching into her purse, she said just one word. “GOTCHA...”
“What? Amy, what’s going on?!?” She lashed her head back and forth between Amy’s smug grin and Justin’s noxious stare.
Amy bent pulled her hand out of her purse and produced a small tape recorder. Again, she stated one word. “GOTCHA!”
“You BITCH...” She hissed at Amy.
“Hmmm...you don’t like it when YOU’RE the one on the other end of the stick, huh, Adrienne, My Dear...” She purred as she fingered the small piece of equipment.
“You...YOU...Oooo, I HATE you! Fine, I’m just gonna go after Justin even more now,” she said, moving up to him and rubbing her hand down his chest and then past his belt line. “I WILL find a way to break the two of them up, you SLUT! Ha-HA! How do you like that?!? You can’t stop me from doing that, now can you?!?”
“See, now, DEAR, I’ve thought of that. And yes, I CAN stop you from doing that...” She continued sporting a complacent expression.
“Yeah, HOW?!?” She said, reaching around and massaging Justin’s bum. He just picked her hand off like a piece of toxic waste and brushed off his chest, groin, and butt.
“Well, remember that LAST time you tried to get me? The time you tried to tell everyone that I slept with Mr. Reynolds, the physics teacher, to get a passing grade in his class?”
“Yeah, I DO...I ALMOST had you that time...” She growled.
“Yes, well, I seem to think that that was a rather true story...”
“It...it WAS?!?” She looked at her, shocked.
“Oh, yes...except, hmmm, funny, I don’t think that the girl...was...me. WAIT...I KNOW! The girl was...YOU!” She said with a satisfied look on her face and a hearty laugh.
“What?!? Wh-what are you TALKING about?!? You can’t prove that!! NEVER! Even if I did, you can’t prove it. We don’t see each other anymore!”
“Well, first of all, DEARY, you just ADMITTED it on TAPE. BUT, even if you didn’t...I have a, hmmm...a PICTURE! And I seem to think that...Wait, my MOM...she works for the local newspaper. Oh, too BAD! I can see it now: ‘Underage teen sleeps with teacher; admits it; photographic proof!’”
“How could you P-POSSIBLY have a p-picture?!?” Adrienne was becoming more and more agitated and flustered.
“Well, contrary to YOUR belief, someone knew about it - ME! I seem to have needed some extra time in photography class, and just HAPPENED to be walking by afterwards, when I heard some rather HAPPY sounds coming from the physics work room. Damn those cracks in the wall! Well, you seem to have forgotten that there is a WINDOW that leads into that office from one of the classrooms. WELL, I just slipped my little butt in there and started shooting away! And...a few years later, here they still are!” Amy went in her purse again and produced some VERY provocative photos of her and a man of about 50 or so on a lab table.
Adrienne burst into tears. “No...I...NO! You CAN’T!”
Amy just looked at her, stone faced. “YES, I CAN! And I WILL...but only if you EVER even go NEAR Justin Timberlake again. Comprende, Chica? You no touch Justy here, you no see a picture of your naked self on a lab table with the shriveled old physics teacher on the cover of the newspaper. Good plan? I think so!! Justin?”
“I think that’s a GREAT plan, Ames. Adrie?”
“Y-yeah...Just go away. I’ll l-leave y-you al-lone. Now, p-p-please. I’m s-sorry. Just g-go.” She started inside as the tears streamed forth.
“Good deal, Adrienne. Pleasure doin’ business witcha!” She dramatically pressed the ‘STOP’ button on the recorder, smiled curtly, took Justin’s outstretched arm, and began walking down the drive.
“Well, J...somehow, I think we MAY have gotten her.” She said with a giggle.
“We sure did!” He said, picking her up and swinging her around. “We SURE did...”
On the way home, though, Amy decided to break the news. She felt like the bad guy and she hated to burst his bubble...but she had to get it out. She could NOT wait any longer.
Justin was humming a tune softly as the two made their way back to Amy’s.
“Justin?”
“Yeah, Ames?”
“I’m pregnant...”

(~) Part 25 (~)
Justin stopped dead in his tracks. “You...you’re...Jesus, I can’t even say the word. Oh, NO. Are you sure?!?”
Amy nodded miserably. “Yeah, yeah I am. I’m so sorry, Justin. I didn’t mean for this to happen.”
“Babe, no, don’t be like that. It’s not ENTIRELY your fault. It’s just as much on me. For all you know, the baby could be Lance’s, though, and then it’s all good...”
“All good? ALL GOOD?!? Justin, I don’t wanna be PREGNANT!” She screamed. “This is NOT a good thing! Jesus...no matter WHO the father is, I do NOT want this now.” She started sobbing gently.
“Are you gonna, you know...”
She sighed. “No, I don’t want it right now, but, yes, I’m gonna keep the baby, no matter what. I DON’T do that abortion deal, and I couldn’t bear to put the poor little thing up for adoption. I already talked to my parents and I have their support for the most part. They weren’t HAPPY of course, but they were SOMEWHAT accepting when they thought it was Lance’s. They don’t like the idea of a musician father, either, but they’ve met him and they figure he’ll be SOMEWHAT supportive. They basically went through the ROOF, though, when I told them about the whole unknown-father thing; when they found out that I didn’t even know who the father IS they skied.”
“Wow...I...I don’t know what to say. I can’t believe that I might be a FATHER...”
“I can’t believe that I AM gonna be a mother! There’s no doubt about that one, Señor! The girl CAN’T get out of it. At least I’m almost done with school. I can take next semester off; I’m due early in July.”
“You already went to the doctors?” The two started waking towards the apartment again.
“Yeah; I haven’t had an ultrasound yet, though...I just confirmed the positive.”
“Whoa...this is heavy.” They reached her door and let themselves in. Lance was in the kitchen unloading some groceries.
“Yeah, well...when you play with fire, you’re bound to get burned. I took the risk, and now I have to face the consequences.”
“What consequences, Baby? Hey, Justin!” Lance came into the living room and looked at the two with questioning eyes.
“Uh...ONE bad one, Hun. One VERY bad one...” She ushered him over to the couch. She figured he should be sitting for this speech.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Jen sat in her dorm room most of her days, lately. She went off to classes and the like, and she was social ENOUGH, so that people didn’t become suspicious...but that was about all. She felt dirty, even though Aaron never actually got to her. If he had ACTUALLY raped her, who knows the pain she would have been experiencing. She wanted to tell someone SO badly, but she knew it would get back to him somehow - she knew he’d kill her. That’s the kind of fear this madman instilled in her. He was leading a double life and, unfortunately, she was on the end of the evil one.
What’s more...she really thought she wanted Justin back. She was still VERY angry, but she NEEDED him. She couldn’t go back to him, though. The last time Aaron had tried to get to her, he had sworn to go after Justin if she ever went back to him. She couldn’t do that to Justin - she cared for him way too much. The more she thought about it, she more she realized she still loved him with every ounce of energy she had in her small body.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Kristin returned home in somewhat of a fog. ‘What the HECK just happened...’ She knew she still cared for him...but she NEVER could have prepared herself for the agony she felt when JC mentioned a ‘she’. It was a she other than herself and she couldn’t handle it.
‘I don’t how I’m gonna do it; I need a small miracle. But I need to get him back. That’s the bottom line. I NEED to find a way to get him back.’
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Meanwhile, on the other side of town, JC was returning to the hotel having some thoughts of his own. ‘She seems so sad...maybe I can get through to her. I have to talk to Michelle - it’s just not working. I need to get her back. That’s the bottom line. I NEED to find a way to get her back.’
