Title: No More Wondering Author: Eileen S. Whipple Classification: Poem, MSR (!!) Spoilers: XF: Fight the Future Summary: A peek into Scully's thoughts about this big "What if...?" Disclaimer: CC owns it all. Notes: This was written after much pondering. I was so lazy because I saw the movie June 18th and didn't write this for 4 days. I'm also surprised that I wrote this because I'm a fencer. **No More Wondering** Written: 6/22/98 We stare passionately, hold each other tenderly. You're telling me not to go. A tear slides down my cheek. This can't happen now-- but I want it to. My hand on your face, it's trembling. What will happen if this goes any further? It can't-- it can, and I want it to. We've been down many roads together, side by side. This is one I'd like to pursue. We've known each other forever. This is only natural. Our lips move closer and when they meet, what relief I feel. Our feelings are known and they can be eased. There's not more wondering. Comments to: whipples@connect.ab.ca
