Ahh, M'Lord. We are running a surplus in grain this season. I shall give the order to begin construction on the new Granary at once! During this time, please relax yourself at the Inn and look at these strategies.
County Management (Strategy is set for a weak county, with 500 crowns, no army, no weapons, advanced farming on, army foraging off, and hard diffuculty.) Begginging The Game: Ok, first turn, you will need to do one of two things. If there is a merchant, sell 25 of your cows, and use all of your cash to buy grain. Plant 2 grain fields, and make as many fields as possible cows until only one animal is displayed per field. Keep the rest of the fields fallow. Put rations to grain. The cows milk produce will feed to greater amount of your populace. If there is no merchant, plant one grain field, and keep the rest cows, again until there is only one animal displayed per field. Keep the rest fallow. Always remember to plant your grain in the winter, and keep enough farmers taking care of it so you come out with a large production. Try to keep at least 1/3 of your field fallow, or else grain firtility will drop, and they will become all weeds. Middle of The Game: By now, you should have no more cows, and about 3 - 5 grain fields, with the rest fallow. Try to get your happiness at a steady 95 - 100, and feed as much as you can afford. Create a scouting army of 50 peasants. Once your happiness is 100, charge 7% tax. Minus or increase however much you need according to health and rations. Get the resorces, and build a Mott and Bailey. When its done, start heavy construction on infantry weapons, preferably pikes and swords. When you have 150 - 200, create an army. Combine them with your 150 archers from the Bailey. Ensure that your borders are clear, then attack a lone county. If The enemy is near, engage and destroy them. Late in The Game: Now it is time to start making large forces. Control 3 - 4 counties, and make each county concentrate on one resorce. Eg) One county makes all wood, another makes all stone, another all weapons, etc. Just make sure you are not losing money or stock because here it is crucial. Start introducing more expensive units into your forces such as corssbowmen and knights. Attack opponents when you become truley ready, and if your scouts find an opening in defences, exploit it! Send in army after army, cause now its on! This is just a very sketchy guide, Don't count on it to get you through the whole game, because it leaves alot of important things out.
