On 21 December 2012 Bangladesh army backed Muslim settlers raped and killed Thomaching Marma (14 year) of Baradulu village under Kaukhali. On that day she went to bring back family's cows from nearby forest. The Muslim settlers raped and killed the Buddhist girl when they found her alone in the forest.

Bengali miscreant abduct and rape an indigenous Chakma girl at Savar, Dhaka

On 5th January 2013, a Muslim man rape a 12 year old indigenous Chakma girl for consecutive three days after abduction at Savar in Dhaka . It is reported that the victim went missing from Savar EPZ (Export processing Zone) area in Dhaka. After that, the victim’s relatives started looking for her nearby area of their residence, but could not find her anywhere. At a stage, the relatives filed a General Diary (GD) with Ashulia police station.

Some people from Chakma community suspected one guy namely Mohamed Towfique (27), an unemployed youth and ex-employee of Savar EPZ. Local source informed that once Mohamed Towfique asked to his Chakma friend whether there would be any problem if he takes a Chakma girl. In suspecting, the victim’s relatives tried to contact Mohamed Towfique, but failed first time because his mobile was disconnected. Later on, they were able to contact and took an appointment to meet him at Fantasy Kingdom area at Ashulia in Savar.

With the help of police, on 8 January 2013 at around 4:00 pm Mohamed Towfique was arrested from Fantasy Kingdom area, and on the basis of his information, the victim was rescued from a house nearby the Fantasy Kingdom. The victim was found very weak, and bleeding was continuing while she was rescued. On 9 January, she was taken to Dhaka Medical College hospital for treatment and medical test, and took her to Magistrate Court for her statement.

The victim was living at her relative Mrinal Chakma’s house at Savar in Dhaka. Victim said that the perpetrator Mohamed Towfique abducted her through treachery. She was forcefully raped by him during her captivity.
