On 19-20 February 2010 Bangladesh army backed Muslim settlers attacked the indigenous Buddhist people at Baghaichari. Many indigenous houses were burnt down including Buddhist temples. Bangladesh army arrest two innocent villagers in Kudukchari
On March 18, 2009 Bangladesh army arrested two innocent villagers at Kudukchari under Rangamati district.
A group of army personnel led by a captain from Kudukchari camp raided the village of Kudukchari today and arrested Amal Chakma (45) and Dharma Chan Chakma (45). The name of the commander was not known; he came to the camp only two days ago.
The indigenous people were picked up in the afternoon, and the army has taken them to the camp. Kudukchari lies about one and a half km west of the camp. Today’s raid follows another two such recent raids into the village.
