Ranglai Mro

On 23 February 2007, Bangladesh Army arrested Mr. Railai Mro from Bandarban district. Mr. Mro is an indigenous activist who protested the illegal grabbing of indigenous land by the Bangladesh army. Mr. Railai Mro was brutally tortured by the army. Ranglai Mro is seen handcuffed to his hospital bed at the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD) under police guard. Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) torture an indigenous Chakma man in Sajek

On 20 June 2005 Mr. Shanti Kumar Chakma (ex-member of Sajek union) of was called to the BDR camp and tortured by the Commanding Officer (CO) of Baghaihat BDR sub-zone Mr. Abdur Rab. He was falsely accused of forming and controlling an armed group in favour of PCJSS.

On 17 June 2005 Mr. Chittacha Chakma s/o Ban Kumar Chakma of village Gangaram Mukh was arrested by the Bangladesh army while he was returning home from farm. He was released on the request of the villagers.
