Chakma woman and victim of Teknaf

On 30 May 2012 Bangladesh police and Muslim settlers raided indigenous Buddhist villages of Howaikyong area under Teknaf in Cox’s Bazaar. In this attack 12 Chakma villagers were severely wounded. 7 Chakma villagers including 4 minors were arrested without warrant. One pregnant woman prematurely gave birth to a baby due to torture and several women were sexually harassed.


Bengali settlers attempt to rape an indigenous Buddhist girl in Dighinala

On 24 April 2000, a Muslim settler named Saheb Ali s/o Malek of Milanpur cluster village attempted to rape Miss. Nidra Kusum Talukdar (12), daughter of Doyal Kanti Talukdar of Dighinala.

The incident took place at a shop of Dighinala town.
