On 21 December 2012 Bangladesh army backed Muslim settlers raped and killed Thomaching Marma (14 year) of Baradulu village under Kaukhali. On that day she went to bring back family's cows from nearby forest. The Muslim settlers raped and killed the Buddhist girl when they found her alone in the forest.

Bengali settlers sexually molest an indigenous Hindu woman in Matiranga

On 5 January 1999, a Muslim settler molested Miss Momota Devi Tripura (14) of Alutila, Matiranga, Khagrachari district.

Miss Tripura was travelling by bus to Matiranga town. A Muslim driver (whose name was not known) molested her in front of many Muslim settlers and some indigenous passengers. When the helpless indigenous girl screamed for help, the indigenous passengers attempted to free her from the hands of the rapist. But the Muslim passengers took the side of the rapist. They pushed the indigenous passengers away from him and allowed him to continue the molestation.

When the indigenous passengers and the indigenous victim reported the matter to the Bangladesh police, the police authorities ignored the First Information Report.
