Indigenous victims of Sajek Muslim attack

On 20 April 2008, the Bengali settlers backed by Bangladesh army attacked and burnt down 76 indigenous houses in Sajek. The aim of the attack was to drive out the indigenous villagers and grab their land. The indigenous victims survey their home after the attack


Bengalis gang rape a Tripura woman in Sitakunda

On 30 October 2009, Muslim settlers gang raped a Tripura woman (19) at Sonaichari of Sitakunda under Chittagong district.

The girl went to Sitakunda to visit her relatives. The miscreants took her to a forest by force and then gang raped her. The miscreants were identified as Mohamed Jahur and his 7 associates. Mohamed Jahur is member of the Union Parishad or local government.

Her relatives recovered her next morning from the forest and then took her to Sitakunda police station. After filing a case at Sitakunda police station she was examined by doctors.

Case was filed against Mohamed Jahur (45), Suman (28), Hannan (32), Nuruzamman (42), Shamim(32), Selim (34) and Mona (45). All of them were inhabitant of Keshabpur village under Sonaichari Union of Sitakunda.
