There are military camps everywhere in the Chittagong Hill Tracts. Often they build military camps by grabbing Jumma peoples land. The military harass the Jumma people from the camps. They restrict movement of Jumma people.

17 August 2006

BDR (Bangladesh Rifle) selected a place near Bagakhali Nua Bazar under Jurachari, Rangamati for establishing a new BDR camp. A group of BDR personnel led by a Subeder (non-commissioned officer) from Gandachara BDR camp visited Bagakhali Nua Bazar for surveying the region. Bagakhali Nua Bazar is 12 kilometres from Gandachari BDR camp.

May 2003

A Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) camp is going to be expanded at East Bhaiba Chara of Sajek. On 10 May 2003 the BDR Zone Commander of Bhagaihat Lt. Colonel Kamrul (20 EBR) and the Sajek Zone Commander (32 EBR) jointly visited the area. At first they visited the Karbari of the village and then visited the whole surrounding area of the village. More than 32 families will be displaced if the BDR set up a new camp. Now the villagers are living in fear of eviction.

19 May 1996

The Bangladesh Army established a new camp at Boga Para in Merung, Dighinala area. This camp is under the control of the Merung Military Zone.

16 April 1996

The Bangladesh Army set up a new army camp at Thalipara in Ramgarh area. The new camp is under the control of the Guimara Military Zone.

12 January 1996

In violation of the ceasfire agreement, the Bangladesh army set up a new military camp at Simana Langel in Kengelchari under the jurisdiction of Naniachar, Rangamati.

December 1995

In violation of the ceasfire agreement, the Bangladesh army set up a new military camp at Mubachari Mukh in Ghilachari Union under the jurisdiction of Rajasthali within Rangamati.

In violation of the ceasfire agreement, the Bangladesh army set up a new military camp at Haladya Para in Ghilachari Union under the jurisdiction of Rajasthali within Rangamati.

In violation of the ceasfire agreement, the Bangladesh army set up a new military camp name "Kistochara Army Camp" between Manikchari and Hatimara Hills under the jurisdiction of Manikchari, Khagrachari.

In violation of the ceasfire agreement, the Bangladesh army set up a new military camp at Tarasa Mukh under the jurisdiction of Tarasa Union Council within Bandarban.

A new military camp was set up near the Forest Office at Tarasa Mukh of Rowangchari, Bandarban.

12 August 1995

A group of soldiers of the 24 Artillery Brigade from Guimara patrolled the surrounding areas of Nakyapara and Hazachara in Lubremarma Mouza. The soldiers terrorised the Jumma villagers and selected a site on the hill of Hazachara for setting up an army camp.

25 June 1995

The Bangladesh Army established a new army camp at Kutuk Para of Banchara, Dighinala in total disregard for the ceasefire agreement.

12 May 1995

Maj. Mahbub and his soldiers from the Khagrachari Military Zone and a group of Muslim settlers launched a combing operation in Fatrachara area of Kamalchari, Khagrachari to flush out the Shanti Bahini from the nearby forests. Although no Shanti Bahini was found, he ordered the Muslim settlers to clear the jungle of a hill near Fatrachara to construct a new army camp on the top of the hill.

2 May 1995

The Bangladesh Army set up a new army camp at Thangtung Para of Matiranga, Khagrachari in blatant violation of the ceasefire agreement. The new camp is under the control of the Guimara Military Zone.

May 1995

The Bangladesh Army set up a new army camp in the south western part of Pradip Karbari Para of Dighinala in serious breach of the terms and conditions of ceasefire.
