On 3 April 2006, Bangladesh army and Muslim settlers attacked indigenous Buddhist people in Mahalchari of Khagrachari. Bangladesh army and Muslim settlers gang raped Ms. Krajaima Marma (20) daughter of Chaihla Prue Marma at Saprue Karbaripara.

Bangladesh army torture 3 indigenous Marma Buddhists in Thanchi

On 2 March 1996, BDR (Bangladesh Rifles) personnel of Bara Modhuk Camp launched a combing operation in Mongkyaching Para village and in the adjacent areas in Bara Modhuk region under the jurisdiction of Thanchi within Bandarban District, set all the huts on fire, arrested 3 indigenous Marma Buddhists without any reasons, took them to the camp and subjected them to severe interrogation and torture.
