Indigenous victims of Naniachar attack

When whole country was celebrating the victory day of the country on 16 Dec 2014, Bangladesh army backed Muslim settlers attacked indigenous people in Bagachari area of Naniarchar to evict them from their traditional land. 50 indigenous houses, 7 shops and 1 Buddhist temple were destroyed.

Bangladesh army torture an indigenous boy in Naniachar

On 9 July 1991, Bangladesh army of 8 Engineers Battalion from the the army camp at Bogachari in Naniachar led by Capt. Shamim beat an indigenous boy at Bogachari in Naniachar, Rangamati district.

Bangladesh army beat the indigenous boy because his permission to go to market had expired a day before he went to the local market for shopping. The victim is:

  1. Master Gandhi Chakma (15), son of Mr. Tungya Chakma of Larma Para of Toichakma Mouza in Naniachar.
