Bijay and Samiran Chakma of Mallya Massacre
On 2 February 1992 Bangladesh army backed Muslim settlers killed at least 30 indigenous Chakma Buddhists at Mallya. 2 of them were Bijay Chakma and Samiran Chakma, the sons of Saral Kumar Chakma. Two bombs exploded on a river ferry at Mallya. The explosion killed a passenger and seriously injured the skipper of the ferry. The survivors swam ashore but the armed Muslim settlers were waiting for them and attacked the indigenous Chakma Buddhists - men women and children.

Bangladesh army torture 3 indigenous Chakma Buddhists in Dighinala

On 17 December 1986, Subedar (non-commissioned officer) Kasim of Bangladesh army from the army camp at Babu Chara in Dighinala subjected the following indigenous Chakma Buddhists to severe beating at Babu Chara in Dighinala, Khagrachari district.

  1. Mr. Suroth Bihari Chakma (31 yrs), son of Mr. Bipottaranjan Chakma of Udol Bagan, Dighinala.
  2. Mr. Jayanta Kumar Chakma (56 yrs), son of Mr. Urongya Chakma, of Babu Chara, Dighinala.
  3. Master Tustomoni Chakma (13 yrs), son of Mr. Krishna Lochan Chakma, of Noon Chari, Dighinala.
