On 14 December 2011 Bangladesh army backed Muslim settlers attacked indigenous Buddhist people in Baghaichari and Dighinala following the death of a settler named Mohamed Sattar. An indigenous woman named Chikon Mila Chakma was killed in Dighinala and at least 10 indigenous people were injured. Dead body of Ms. Chikon Mila Chakma lies in Khagrachari hospital morgue.

Bangladesh army terrorize indigenous Hindus in Bilaichari

On 3 Nov. 1986, Bangladesh army of 18 EBR led by Capt. Shafi from the army camp at Sung Sang raided the indigenous villages Kalabong Para and Sokhi Chandra Para of Reing Khyong in Bilaichari, Rangamati district.

Indigenous people were celebrating Hindu religious festival. Bangladesh army surrounded Kalabong Para village when indigenous people were eating their lunch. Bangladesh army stopped indigenous people from eating their lunch. Bangladesh army beat and tortured indigenous people enmasse with water being poured into their noses and mouths. The soldiers robbed valuable properties from the inhabitants. The victims ere:
