On 19-20 February 2010; Bangladesh army backed Muslim settlers attacked the indigenous people at Baghaichari leaving an indigenous man dead. The aim of the attack was to drive out the indigenous Chakma Buddhists and grab their land. The indigenous Buddhist man gunned down by the Bangladesh army.

Bangladesh army torture and rob indigenous Chakma Buddhists in Khagrachari

On 20 February 1986, Bangladesh army of 203 Brigade from Betchari army camp launched a military operation at Rangapani Chara in Khagrachari. During the operation, Bangladesh army severely beat and robbed indigenous Chakma Buddhists. The victims are:

  1. Ananda Kumar Chakma, son of Urajoy Chakma of Rangapani Chara, Khagrachari. Bangladesh army beat and robbed him of 2 goats.
  2. Amrita Lal Chakma, son of Urajoy Chakma of Rangapani Chara, Khagrachari. Bangladesh army beat and robbed him of 4 fowls.
  3. Ananda Bap Chakma, son of Bokya Chakma of Rangapani Chara, Khagrachari. Bangladesh army beat and robbed him of 5 fowls.
