On 21 December 2012 Bangladesh army backed Muslim settlers raped and killed Thomaching Marma (14 year) of Baradulu village under Kaukhali. On that day she went to bring back family's cows from nearby forest. The Muslim settlers raped and killed the Buddhist girl when they found her alone in the forest.

Bangladesh Rifles torture and rape indigenous Chakma Buddhists in Panchari

On 12 July 1985, 30 Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) personnel from Dhuduk Chara BDR Camp led by Subedar Kobbat launched a military operation against the indigenous inhabitants of Rupa Sen Member Para in Pancharchi, Khagrachari district. During the operation BDR personnel beat, tortured indigenous men and raped indigenous women. BDR personnels stayed in the village from 12 July 1985 to 15 July 1985. During their stay BDR personnel indiscriminately raped indigenous women and slaughtered cattle and fowls for sumptuous meals.
