On 19-20 February 2010; Bangladesh army backed Muslim settlers attacked the indigenous Buddhist people at Baghaichari. The settlers destroyed many indigenous houses and Buddhist temples. The aim of the attack was to drive out the indigenous Chakma Buddhists and grab their land. Bangladesh police fight indigenous people whose land was grabbed by Muslim settlers.

Bangladesh army torture an indigenous Tripura Hindu in Khagrachari

On 25 January 1985, Bangladesh army of 203rd Brigade from Khagrachari cantonment beat Mr. Nila Kanta Tripura (52), son of Mr. Karbari Tripura of Gasban in Khagrachari. He was ploughing his farmland when Bangladesh army came to him, interrogated him, and beat him as he could not give information about the Shanti Bahini. They left him in an unconscious condition.
