Harmony is interviewed by Werner Herzog in the November issue of Interview magazine. The two speak about the filming of Gummo, Harmony's father, and the history of filmaking.

Harmony's newest film, Gummo premieres in Los Angeles, California tonight. Gwyneth Paltrow (how tacky), Rose McGowan, Marilyn Manson, Leonardo DiCaprio, and many other Hollywood types will be in attendance. Marilyn Manson says of the film: "I think it's the use of glue sniffing, mixed with death metal, and sex with retarded prostitutes. You put those things in a film, and you really can't get any better than that. Harmony Korine is about as disturbed as his film is, and it makes me a little bit relieved to know that America has someone new to hate other than me." Uh, okay.


October 1997
Harmony gets a name drop in BlairMag Issue #3 for his tacky taste in foot fashion. A special devotion to the infamous ugly shoe, Clark's Wallabees, was featured. Formerly all the rage with Italian prepsters in the late '80s, they are now being fashioned by not only Harmony, but a boatload of other Hollywood types.

Harmony's newest film Gummo is being released via The Telluride Film Fest for a special screening along with John Sayles' Men With Guns, Richard Kwietniowski's Love And Death On Long Island, and a documentary from Werner Herzog.
